Vlog filmed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾
My experience here has been very interesting. I knew very little about Malaysia before coming and never imagined in my life that I would visit the country. But the opportunity arose so I took it.
Malaysia holds a fascinating mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Islamic culture. After some exposure to Islam in Thailand this is my first time truly in the “Muslim World” and I even entered a Mosque for the first time as well. All unique experiences an exposure for someone whose grown up in the West, and I hope the video captures that well.
This is the first time I write a description many days after the vlog. A little harder to capture and remember the thoughts and reflections of that day. In general the vlogging process has been a little tough lately (negativity, anxiety) and I’m feeling somewhat burnt out. So looking to slow the pace a little with uploads and focus on other aspects of vlogging such as editing.

very very true. all largest culture are collide here. you are genius. indian here. chinese here and of coz malay here. malay are native to south east asia. they are in sumatra, java, papua, southern philipines, southern thailand, peninsular malaysia, borneo, kalimantan, singapore, cambodia, vietname, hawai, island in australia.. cape town. many more places.

Usually in Malaysia, Malaysian speak English and Malay as National Language but some Malay also speak English,Malay,Chinese to Chinese people and speak English,Malay,Indian with Indian. Also, some chinese speak English,Malay,Indian with Indian. Also, some Indian speak English,Malay,Chinese with Chinese people.

Yes, indeed! I spoke with many people who spoke an impressive number of languages. It’s a society of polyglots haha

@@ASteppingStone I mean the local Malay Chinese and Indian Malaysian usually not tourist..in China,Thai,Vietnam and asian country local people them not usually speak English between them.. but local Malay,Indian,Chinese as Malaysian citizen everyday speak English,Chinese,Indian. Malay buying from Chinese and speak Chinese or English. Malay buying from Indian them speak Indian or English. Malaysian citizen learn 4 language. That the different with other country.

Malay people are so kind for letting Chinese & Indian stay here after British defeats, eventhough we can refused what British want, but still, Malay & other indigenousethnic are the ORIGINAL inhabitants in Malaya back then

Error in understanding, Malay migration just started earlier from the surrounding Asian countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines etc.

@@serenepoh5606 no is not, Malay is not migrate , is already in the DNA in many cave you know ... Malay is known as a sailor or traveler in the world but and the world hid the fact of this SEA after a war...... and malay is famouse in one of ethnicity in Malay group that had the traveler and sailor around the world, people think is migrate but is actually just travel among relative among the SEA, you need to know that "Selat Malaka" is not existed and this SEA if not submerge is whole continent. MALAY is kind a word of a place of high place and had other meaning also because there many unknown that what really is the aboriginal of MALAY word.... .. to dig in about Malay is whole lots of history that been hidden and destroy by the colonial. You need to know, Malay civilization already here beyond Roman Empire even existed... and that really a fact. I am a Malay ...the history about this mostly chines and Indian wont know about this.... in fact i had my own family history ...that why i knew it best.

A person only needs to open the eyes wide, look deep and keep an open mind too, and pray that God The Most Merciful shall grant His guidance... _Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs..._ and God also told us: _We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves..._ Take care bro ✌️

Just found out your video... Seems you lil bit stuck with your previous bad experience maybe... But it's ok to feel doubtful / cautious. We Malaysian generally don't bother others so much, not coz we are not friendly but sometimes people need their own space. Feel free to ask n talk to the locals if you need anything.
