Twinkie is the one who wrote mostly all of their songs and she can also play piano. Dorinda was after Twinkie, and Jacky is the one at the end. She’s the oldest. They also have another sister who no longer sings with them named Denise (Niecy). So it’s 5 of them total. Their mother was also a great singer Mattie Moss Clark but she’s no longer alive. I think you should watch the Clark sisters movie. It will probably explain everything a lot more.😂And Karen’s daughter plays her in the movie. Her name is Kierra Sheard and she’s also a well known gospel singer 🫶🏾 It’s a really good movie I think it’s currently on Hulu. It’s a lifetime movie.

The first singer is Karen Clark She is the baby of the sisters Many R&B singers credit her as an influence And her sisters call her the Michael Jackson of the group The second singer is Twinkie Clark she is responsible for the sound of The Clark Sisters and is The Queen of The B3 Hammond organ and has written over 300 songs The third singer is Dorinda Clark She is called The Rose of Gospel She is known for her scatting and jazzy style and high energy The one who didn't have a solo is Jacky Clark She's the oldest of the sisters She is known for her smooth style she does a lot of the dirty in the group and stays in the background in terms of harmony She is considered the matriarch of the family There is another sister named Denise who left the group to pursue her own interests Twinkie and Karen share the same birthday.

The Clark Sisters are musical legends in gospel music industry and inspired a lot of non gospel music artists of today. They changed gospel and were known for taking a Stevie wonder beat and using it to get a different sound and it blew up so big. They have a movie on Lifetime about their life.

She trained her daughters to sing in harmonies and blend where it sounds like one voice. Twinkie was the songwriter, and producer of the group.
