This reminds me of my physics teacher, although I had him for just half a year. He is really passionate about what he was teaching and he never made anyone feel bad for asking a stupid question - he always helped. He was also humorous. :) I remember this one time he read a paragraph to us and all of a sudden changed his voice and then he read it two more times in two different voices. :D It was so fun!

I see people saying how they want a teacher like him funny and all, I used to think that way. dun get me wrong, I hav funny teachers and their the best. But so are the non funny ones, the ones who giv up lunch time and dinner time to provide consultations for student , the ones who made me write study timetable, talk to me bout my troubles, the ones who made me do homework. This may come across as teachers we dun want, I used to rage at them. but after all , their are seriously jus trying to help u, it aint gonna make much difference to their paycheck, heck they even hav to sleep at 2am wake up at 6am jus to mark the homework of students. So despite the funny teachers u ppl may not hav, dun forget to giv credit and thank the teachers that although aren't funny, but giv their utmost best to help u regardless of ur past attitude. :D

I disagree...most teachers that are moody or whatever can actually demotivate us...it happen to when my Maths teacher was a like a bitch....for the little shit she is gonna rage like a 9 year old in CSGO....form getting 90/95 for maths I got 70 and the worst one was I failed....teachers should be serious at the same time don't make ur attitude effect the student

+TheShadow018 Wait, wait, wait, not the UK. If you do that in the UK as a teacher, you're f**cked! Children here have no ability to have fun. They go too far because they are miserable. They know how to be silly, erratically silly, maniacally silly, but they can't have fun. They are spoilt. We have all these interactive boards, cinema in the classroom, school plays, role plays, dressing up, games etc. but they don't want a cool teacher, believe me. You have to 1) Establish very well set boundaries and rules without being aggressive and showing anger2) Stick to those rules and be consistent 3) Let them know who is in charge, the teacher 3) Let them know their behaviour is their choice 4) Gain their respect by doing all the above first 5) Don't praise them too much because British kids can't deal with praise very well 6) Only praise them if you have a good reason to and let them know why or encourage them to figure out why by asking them why they've been praised 7) Listen to them but don't let them manipulate you because they will try 8) Finally give them some lee-way and have fun, but remember it takes time. Mr Pereira would have a hard time in the UK if he started like this, even as man. I hate to say that but it's true - even as a man. Did I say that about a western cultured society? YES, I just did! UK kids think learning is very un-cool, unless there's something for them, quick and easy. Therefore they get bored very quickly too and have no appreciation for education. Unloved, depressed kids with depressed parents.

Enjoyed this video, and really like the message behind it. Just to say that I hardly see school students these days enjoy their learning experience. They are mostly having examination/test anxiety until they don't see why exactly they come to school. This is a mindset that a nation should have changed earlier. Like what Alex does, he's trying to put away such anxiety in his students and making learning as a fun and inspiring activity. It's a good thing to inspire a nation like what you guys are doing. Thanks Jinnyboy. :)

all of the students like these kind of teachers because it's rare to find a teacher who is only a little strict but has a great sense of humor to make the students happy, sometimes it is nice to have a teacher who makes the whole class laugh and graduation can be the hardest event to go through because you'll just get an ocean of good memories with that teacher

How I wish my history teachers are like this...Well maybe not to this extent but at least jokes that make us remember about it in years to come. For all the years in secondary school, my history teachers just kept telling us facts and they were monotonous. How can they expect us to remember tons of events with the same year, what happened on what year when they didn't make it interesting? Have to memorize all of them like hell in order to get good grades. In the end, we just forget them, dump them out of our brains as soon as the exam is over. History is supposed to be remembered, not to be crammed into our heads just to pass our exams. This way, the subject didn't serve any purpose at all.

Alex was right. I became a teacher later in life. I modeled my teaching onmy grade 11 history of civilization, John Calmus. He began every lecture by saying "this is the sermon according to Father John Calmus"...he followed the curriculum, but our class discussions and debates made it all come alive. Also correct....a teacher corrects but MUST also encourage, or the student will give up......or worse, just memorize and not learn to think or apply what they've learned. John Calmus was my teacher in 1976......and I remember and honor him to this day......👍😊

In my primary school, there is this teacher who is really nice and close to us. She really care for us and treat us like her own child. Sadly, two years after teaching us, she transfered to another school. I never forget that teacher though I can't really remember most of the teachers that taught me on the same year

It reminds me of my chemistry teacher though he might be rude sometimes his quite the comedian as well. After graduating high school u never know till then, u would realize as to how much your teacher cared for you and cherished you. I would always remember him for inspiring us as batch 2016 class 10 graduates He was Indian as I studied in an Indian school.

I miss my teachers even though they are no where close like Alex.. I teared watching this and recalling the past time in school! I failed my history.. But teacher ain't blaming me instead get me to study hard for other subject. Miss them deeply and 1 had return to heaven to be with god. Thank you for awesome videos!
