You don't need a fancy machine to achieve a cut file look, simply pull out those craft punches I know you have in your stash. I love this layout, Gwen and such a gorgeous photo of your girl. My punches and dies definitely need more use. It's hard with limited desk space, especially with the die cutter. That said... my Cameo needs to be used too. Ack.

I love your ideas so far. I've saved every video. I hope you do more on punches. I forget the power of a punch with repeated patterns. Basic shapes are mostly what I own. I was late to hayday of punches. But I have a nice lot. I love the ease of it. No machine, or software to learn. They are just less fuss with great results.

I have the same square punch you used. I have a drawer full of punches but I rarely use them, except for circle punches and corner rounders. I don't use my border punches either. I use my cutting machines, I have a sizzix Switch and a Gemini Jr. and a Brother Scan n Cut and of course my Big Shot. So I'm pretty well set for cutting.

That's so interesting... I have 2 Silhouettes and my Sizzix and still grab my punches when I just want to work quickly. There are times when I just can't be bothered setting the bigger machines up and a punch will do the job just as well. It is nice to have options though and you certainly do ☺️

Love, love, love this beautiful layout. This is such an amazing layout showcasing the use of craft punches and those beautiful bright papers. A gorgeous photo of your beautiful daughter to. I have actually being working on two layouts today making use of some border punches I have in my stash. I often think I should make more use of them but quite often I forget about them. I like the idea of using the same paper to mat your photo, and back your page. I must try and not be so mean with my paper 😂. I am loathe to ‘waste’ any of it by covering aspects with ephemera but clearly it makes for a beautiful, balanced end result 👍

I feel you Laura!! I used to feel EXACTLY the same way... it's so hard to cover any aspect of a pretty paper (especially the Maggie Holmes ones!!) 😱 BUT I promise it's worth it and it does get easier as you go. Thanks for spending a little of your creative time with me today.

It's very nice . Checking when you sew with the machine is there a certain needle you use for sewing cards tock? Also I'm looking for some new baby girl pages.

Hey Rhonda, no special needle, I just go a little slower when I'm working with thicker card stock. I don't have a lot of pages with baby girls, but as it so happens, I did make this one very recently! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kK2Hkq2lu7TSlp8.html
