This is a great science song. First, wonder at the world. Second, realize the methods you're handed from earlier scientists are not good enough, so invent new tools to keep pushing forward. Third, resolve to perfect those tools. Fourth, a bit of despair as you realize there'll always be more questions and you can never answer everything. And finally, resolve to accept the data and results you get, even if they offend you or contradict what you were told as a child. In other words "I will not hide my eyes. I will never look away."

Imagine being this scientist in the steampunk world of machinists and alchemists. He is trying to discover the answers to the largest and smallest things in existence through the unaccepted practice of scientific method. Eventually being shunned out of society, cast out to the sticks, and made as a fool, and all the while, he passionately tries to find the scientific answers, if not for the world, then for the sake of at least his knowledge. Its more of a drive to insanity through the wrath and eyes of society than true insanity here, which then sheds a new light on the other two characters in the mad trio.
@eccoeco34544 жыл бұрын
Cool but how can there be alchemists ( rudimentary chemists) and most importantly machinists (mechanics and engineers I suppose) without at least a beginning of scientific method?

@@anthonyconde7604 Leonardo da Vinci used to say that Knowledge is the daughter of Practice, the idea that from extensive experimentation and observation of occurrences one can develop a general theory by virtue of logic and proof started to develop in classicity and renaissance (also we must consider that not even the middle ages were as dark and senseless as commonly portrayed, just to do an example the medieval clergy were great scholars even if with different priorities, Alcuin of York was able to deduct, analyzing the many sources of corrupted Latin in his times, what would come to be scholastic Latin with is a pretty correct representation of late Imperial Latin )

Unfortunately, the band is on a long-term hiatus; they lack the funding to keep moving forward with their plans due to not being well-known enough. While they hope to spread their wings once more, it's been accepted it'll have to be awhile. Currently, some people have considered crowd-funding or kick-starting, but the group seems a bit pessimistic about their lack of being known.

You are no Harrison Bergeron, and the ignorance of others (even willfull ignorance), does not detract from the worth of the masses. Any good thing in today's world is powered by people, fostered by community, cooperation, and collaboration. To dismiss people as sheep is to believe that we as a species are not capable of better, which is something I can't accept. If I see something worthwhile, then it is worth being shared. Your elitism doesn't help artists, or encourage greatness; it's selfish.
