They've ended the season losing less PL games than Arsenal, having competed in all 4 comps until April despite being riddled with injuries, including winning a final with academy players. The end of season collapse was actually more accurate to where this transitional side is and was shown last year, which lost Hendo Milner Fabhino and Firminio. We didn't sign our targets like Jude or Caicedo and made do with Endo, whilst losing talisman Salah to Afcon and injury for a significant part of the season. I understand how the end doesn't feel great, but objectively from the start of the season it's a success. B grade minimum.

I would’ve given Liverpool an A for their season if it didn’t collapse the way it did, but I’d still give it an A-. Arsenal on the other hand, it is so fucking aggravating seeing other clubs get bumps in their grade solely because they won a trophy(or in Man U’s case completely brush their shit season under the rug simply because they won the FA Cup) or made it into a European competition. But Arsenal did all this stuff, broke club records outperformed every other club statistically(and in some cases results wise) but people give them narrow minded grades based almost exclusively on the fact that they didn’t win a trophy. Liverpool coming back from the horrors of last season with major senior players going out of the club and failing to sign a ‘proper’ dm in the summer but Klopp somehow successfully rebuilt the midfield and spearheaded a three horse race. Arsenal didn’t fall apart in March/April like they usually do and took the race to the last game, which is a huge improvement in mentality and dominance
