aTrippyFarmer and his family are back to bring you more farming adventures! In this episode, Andy and the crew are working on the last few fields of corn to complete harvest. Unlike the previous days, these fields are actually somewhat firm, yet mud is still plentiful. The day starts off with a bang when Marty snaps off one of his corn head snouts while crossing a terraces. The crew quickly replaces the part over a 30 minute period. To bridge the gap, Katie brings over the S670 to start picking more corn. Much to everyone's surprise, the ground doesn't present any major issues, so there should be a need for any mudding. The farm is making use of a few of their older harvestores to store corn, which is a great alternative to waiting in line at the elevator for an hour every load. Although the project is short-lived due to the small holding capacity and high harvesting capacity of the John Deere Combines. Marty also manages to completely lose a stalk stomper from under his corn head, which was never located. They push onto another day of picking corn and hauling to the local elevator. After a hard day's work, they picked the last 8 rows of corn, resulting in the end of harvest season. The combines were certainly tired of fighting the mud, but the crop is now successfully out of the ground. Thanks for watching!

Andy "aTrippyFarmer" Dole is a 6th generation farmer from Central Illinois. On this farm, Andy works alongside his father, Marty, his uncles, Chris and Jeff, and his sister, Katie, to grow corn and soybeans on some of the finest dirt in the world. Andy and his family are deeply rooted in the area, operating a large farm that traces it origins back into the 1800s. Although some tracts did not stand the test of time, Andy and his family still grow corn and soybeans on fields that have been in the family for longer than even the oldest members of the farm have been alive. We do, we have, and we always will take tremendous pride in calling this piece of paradise our home. Andy was a Bronze Tablet graduate of the University of Illinois in the field of Crop Sciences, following the same path as his father and late grandfather.
It would be misleading for Andy to claim that this life is one that came by chance; rather, as a member of two multi-generational farm families, it was simply in his blood. His passion for agriculture traces back to his early youth--some of his fondest, earliest memories being of days spent riding in the combine with his father and grandfather. Although his understanding of the lifestyle was much less complex in the beginning, the love he has for farming, and its industry has only appreciated through time. As this dream blossomed into adulthood, Andy now works relentlessly, and tirelessly, to chase his own dreams and to build a farming operation of his own alongside his family.
We, as a whole operation, are handymen, electricians, mechanics, landscapers, accountants, economists, caretakers, stewards, and, most importantly, farmers, and we take an incredible amount of pride in our work. There is no challenge too overwhelming, no situation too stressful, and no problem too difficult for us to take on, and we want to take you along with us. Welcome to our farm and welcome to our lives. You have the best seat in the house to watch the everyday chaos of farming unfold--we usually only get concerned when things aren't going wrong!

as much as I don't want to be "that guy" but shure it is muddy. You should have seen the Mud we where lifting beets/corn in 2016-2019. We had big gobs of mud 7 miles down the highway from the trucks in the field. pull trucks into the field, load with the beet carts and pull out of the field. You weren't moving without tracks. Some guys didn't dig a single acre and had to wait until total freeze up to get the corn. nothing like combining on a frozen lake. Atleast we had frozen ground to try pull a chisel plough through. (40ft chisel we took the wings off and only pulled the center section)

Like the music that you've added to your videos. I am a baby-boomer farmer and an over-the-road truck driver, and I can't stand country music. I suspect Laura, Grant, Laura's dad and Zack also like rock; and he (Zack) has explained the copyright problem. Don't know about Cole and Nave'. Should have asked them when I met them at the Farm Progress Show in August. When I farmed in the Illinois River bottoms to the west of you; there were/are great rock, radio stations in St. Louis. I just subscribed; and I hope maybe to meet you at the National Farm show in Louisville or at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA next year. Really enjoyed meeting Jon Renner at the Half Century of Progress farm show in Rantoul.

As flat as your alls ground is how in the world are ya'll running the points into the ground? I've ran a combine for 25 years and never done it thankfully. We have up and down hills, gully washers, limbs and everything else out in the field. Been in down corn where it is flat, weed infested around hidden ditches etc etc and hadn't yet run a point in the ground. My grandad when he was alive he always did a couple times a year. He ran the points directly on the ground skimming dirt. Points would be bouncing a few inches.... eventually it would poke down in a ditch and bent point.

That farm had much more slope than most of our land. It is terraced all the way from North to South to help with erosion. I think the mud had something to do with it, but it isn't uncommon for us to lose a snout or two during the season.
