The Comfort Zone is Ruining your art, and you may not even realize it. In this video I go over a few ways that artists might be hindering their own progress and creativity. ***Don't forget to hit the Like Button, Subscribe, and hit the bell icon for notifications!
Hey guys, Andy here! Welcome back to my channel - it's been a really long time since I've released anything so for those of you who have stayed subscribed - thank you even though you may not have even realized you were still subscribed to my channel. Anywho, I figured that I would give this whole KZfaq thing a try and to break out of discomfort, I would talk about...comfort. I hope this video makes sense and helps you reframe your perspective on tackling daunting tasks when it comes to bettering your art and taking strides towards self improvement and personal growth. I know it is always a lot easier said than done, but only in discomfort can we grow - so make sure to take that step! It all comes down to your creative mindset!! You got this!
If you've read this far, thank you again!
***QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What steps are you taking to step out of your comfort zone?
Let me know in the comments so I can connect with you and hopefully help you out in a future video 🙂

Thank you for sharing Andy! These are great insights and I could not agree more! I personally have been through the discomfort in my own art journey and felt that I learnt more about myself at the same time also able to grow as an artist. So I could totally relate when I saw your video 🤗 I hope others will find this helpful as well! Came here from ACN, not sure what kind of tips you were looking for regarding voiceovers but I think you did a fine job there. Keep it up ❤️

Yes! I feel like discomfort is almost inevitable on this path of creativity but at the same time, pushing ourselves past our discomfort will only make us better for the future :). And yay, a fellow ACN creative - wassup Jean!! Checked out your channel and really digging the aesthetic! If you're ever down to collab sometime, let me know! And thank you for the feedback on the voice over! It was something new to me, but I'm happy to hear that it turned out alright.

I hope all your videos are this insightful. While I enjoy process videos to learn from, I think for me it was way more beneficial to learn the mindset. This was great! (Your new bff kaymotts) 😂😂

Ooo this is really nice Andy! You have a soothing voice 😌 I've always enjoyed watching process videos. I believe we've all fallen into the trap of drawing the same thing at some point lol due to various reasons. I think it's really important to stretch our boundaries to learn about our utmost potential. I've struggled alot with self doubt about my art being too mediocre that I often forget to have fun. But when you do enjoy, it truly shows in your drawing.

Self Doubt is definitely the root cause of a lot the hesitation and fear that we get when stretching out those boundaries. But you're absolutely right, when you're having fun and really believe in what you're doing - it really shows and that's something that will continue to give you that drive to keep pushing. You got this!!

QOD: When I'm faced with a task I don't necessarily want to do, I tell myself I'm only going to do it for 2 minutes. Just a mental trick to get myself started since I'll probably go longer than 2 minutes, but the assumed low commitment of 2 minutes is sometimes enough to get me going
