I find teaching classes works better when I just have the instructor mat and I take it to an open space. The participants bring their own mats and set them down so there isn’t any confusion about who uses which mat. I think tiny town would suit having a covered outdoor space where Camilo would host yoga classes. He could build it outside off the side of his massage room.

Considering his aspiration, and also his everyday outfit, I think an indian-inspired castle/house, with fountains and a lot of candles everywhere would suit Camilo.

I would leave decor box outside in the community space in case you keep getting that bug with the decor you won’t have to buy for each lot

I mean going with what's in the category 'luxe' kinda means sorta 1930s/40s ultrarich style with lots of soft flowing romantic drapes and stuff.

For a full yoga class that's more consistent you can add sims to a club and call a club gathering. Make sure the activities are yoga, messages etc. And they still pay you for it. Would be helpful for the 10 day regular thing too.

I would definitely add a pic nic table in the bbq area so your sims don´t keep searching for a bench to eat- and is not cheating since it is common sense.

I think you could stretch the category to castle luxe. Have a castle roof and the four poster bed. With purple stained glass windows and gold accents.💜

Luxe is basically anything that came in the two luxe packs (desert luxe, modern luxe) so it could be easier to filter by them perhaps!

Teaching yoga can be really profitable. What I generally do is set up a "yoga studio" at my lot, and then make 3 clubs (the maximum) as yoga classes. Make yoga the primary activity, and then after everyone is there, teach the class as a private class. You can usually get everyone to join (max of 5 people), and you can run one class after the other throughout the day.

I was thinking you could have the Tiny Townies build a room in the community center (of the lot) in their skill style. Like Kristoff would build an art studio, Reuben a Kitchen, Pablo a gym, Vivian a Library, Camilo a spa, etc.

FYI: please make extra backups of your saves 🥺 nothing would hurt me more than losing your Sims 😭 right now there is a building glitch with rentals (color me surprised) having a green triangle above them and that then spreads to non-rental lots and nothing fixes it. Eventually you won't be able to play the save because you're blocked out of households or stuck in loading screens forever. I JUST saw an announcement in my Sims build group warning us about it because a few of them have experienced it already and lost legacy saves. I'm sure EA will say something about it considering the petition surrounding a demand for an immediate fix. But in the meantime, I hope your game flies stay pure 🤞 and Deli's game files 🙏

You should make a group of a regular customers, so you can start a gathering every time you are in the spa 😅

Future challenge idea: every lot challenege tiny town. Every member of the town get a few lot challeneges and in order to remove the challenge from every lot, you must complete some task. Ex: One home creates a community garden to remove simple living from all households

If you build a little home studio, start a yoga club, and then host yoga classes, it's a lot easier game wise, I've noticed. It's not as buggy. You'd have to save the money for the studio, of course, but it's worth it 😂. Also, it's easier to host yoga at parks as well.

Hey James, Luxe is an actual interior design style if that helps! When I search online, it says “Combines the sleek, clean lines of contemporary design with luxurious textures, colors, and materials” and “it aims to communicate glamour through metallic accents such as gold, faux fur, and soft to touch materials such as velvet and silk”. Idk if that helps!

When i think of Luxe in the Sims i personally think more of the Desert Luxe kit stuff, like the pool and fireplace section at the back of the spa. Also as someone who has had a hand massage, i found it incredibly awkward and was avoiding eye contact as much as possible XD

I think adding a lot of purple flowers outside Camilo's house would look really good. Window boxes and maybe the wall flowers from Jungle Adventure?

I played with this once where I made a club of "yoga enthusiasts" and built a little zen yoga studio on my home lot. That way you can have the exact number of sims that can join the yoga class and they wont get so distracted as they do on the spa lot. You can even make it outside like a little zen garden. Also you can choose private class and choose exactly who you want to teach. Hope this helps, I love this series!

The practice makes perfect trait works through "momentum" which you gain by repeating the same type of skill every day. If you do it enough it gives you a small, then big boost to skill gain in that category. The "soothing shower" resets this momentum so you can focus on a new skill type (you shouldn't use it).

When you come back to Camilo you should go to the park in willow creek ( or other well populated community spaces) and do yoga classes. I did this a lot when playing the self care aspiration recently. In the park its easier for sims to join since they dont have to walk up stairs etc and there are not as many acitivities that occupy or distracts sims from joining the class. There are also a lot more people that you can invite on lots that aren´t spas since the spa staff takes up so many sims on a lot. Love the series!

I just started the Tiny Town challenge! I did have to remove the rental system and make some adjustments bc of that since my game kept breaking. I am having the money be communal and moving each person in one at a time. The person I am currently using can use their money to build up their house or help set up the next person a little bit better or build up the community bits. Seems to be working better for me so far. I also ended up doing house styles by exp pack theme rather than build style.

when the tiny town is done, you could also do a neighborhood in Newcrest with big versions of their homes, they could just own it, don't even need to leave tiny town

I'm just played my wellness sim in my tiny town and spent so much time trying to direct sims' movement autonomy to my advantage (to not have them spread too far so I can host yoga classes for them) still had a lot of fun though I still got sims saying mean things after classes when my sim had lvl 10 wellness skill

In the middle you could do a tiny block of "shops" aka a workplace for each sim and every time you play someone they can only do whatever it is they do for money in that place so it would look and feel like an actual town.

There's something in debug that I remember seeing from a random creator's build video about building infinity pools where you can have invisible walls. It *could* be that for the sunken down area of the spa. That's just my guess. I haven't tried building that, so I'm not sure.

You’ve been able to drag a barbecue for a long, long time, but because it doesn’t make much sense to have most in your inventory, people don’t try it. It’s so you can take them camping, relic hunting, etc. Edit: You can also drag many of the fire rings and a LOT of other things people don’t think of.

yes! I was rooting for Camilo and this episode was just as chaotic as I'd hoped it would be! that spa venue is fantastic and I'm going to download it to use in my game, for sure. I think Camilo should get the Instructor's mat when you get a chance because it makes the yoga classes work a lot smoother than using the one at the spa. this way, you can carry it around and even maybe do some outdoor yoga classes at home or in the park.

You need to be starting the meditation because with that your sim can teleport. I think you need to be either level 7 or 8. Also include Yoga in a club gathering, and plant fruits and veggies. I think what EA should do is to make an appointment calendar for the Wellness career, that way all you have to do is make an appointment and if they don't show up then charge them a fee. It could be used for other careers like hairdressers, wedding planners, and decorators...etc. One more comment, under flooring, masondry there is a purple flooring that costs nothing. I use that for all my walkways.

I really like this series bc it shows us so many possibilities within the game... This pack was released 9 years ago, I hardly remember anything of it, it's so cool watching the gameplay again

The fact that you can teach wellness at level 2 seems kind of apt for the real world considering there are all those "wellness coach" quacks on social media who swear their advice, products, supplements, etc. will help you!

Adding my endorsement to what others have said. Buy your own instructor's yoga mat, go to a park, and teach a class there. You'll have much better luck. Go somewhere with good weather though. I like to go to Oasis Springs Park. It never seems to rain there, except sometimes in winter. If you're staying "local", I understand. At least it's spring. I put in an apartment building in downtown Willow Creek where the gym usually is. It's 5 units with two "storefronts" on the main floor with attached apartments behind. One is a yoga studio (the other is a bakery). It works okay, but I have the same issue with classes, where they have issues claiming mats. My Sim also holds classes out back on the lawn overlooking the water. These are more successful because they bring their own mats. I need to delete the pre-placed yoga mats in her studio and let the attendees bring their own. She's able to make a living at it, and the EP has cooperated for the most part. Phew!

The rent in my game is screwed up. One of the rentals rent is $534, and it's a small little house. Where the bigger one is $131. I don't know if the update messed with the rental system, but when it comes to paying rent, I just cheat the amount.

I recently turned the Sulani Shipwreck residential lot into a small Spa instead! Edit: my EA ID is Subdimension and it's the most recent lot I put on the Sims 4 Gallery. I literally spent waaaay too much time on it lol because I had a Sim working on Wellness. The only downside is it's so small that the indoor yoga mat section only has three student mats in it. I'm glad someone else mentioned in the comments about taking your own teaching mat to some big open area which I'll hopefully remember next time because I usually have a long time between gaming sessions (because I get hyper-focused and don't get anything else done lol.)

I feel like his house should have a mini spa on the first level. It feels like that would be luxe if you just style it like an upscale spa for the building and first floor and then do the luxe/glam furnishings in the upstairs. Also I think it will be easier to work in purple in the landscaping for the outside once you can afford it

You need to add yoga to your group activities, then get an instructor mat, start a gathering, and start a public class, usually then everyone in the club participates. I think the instructor can only do 6 mats at a time, so someone will miss out.

16:20 the problem with the yoga class is the builder did not play test the lot. Yoga mats use the entire 2x3 for print when in use so if Sims are routing to the mats & the mat is in front of the doors Sims cannot walk past the mat even though the mats look empty. So there will be a pile up of Sims at the door who ask cannot actual research the mats when though they might be standing on an empty mat. It's been like this since the pack launched. You need to space out the mats & not have them completely blocking doors. Just because Sims can walk over the mats when they are not in use does not mean the mats don't conflict with complete routing.
