And like that, we lost the ONLY respectable villain of the Peaky Blinders. Luca had the most justifiable reason to go after them, and never once just targeted the kids or civilians working for Tommy.

But honestly, that earnest reason for going after them is what fucked him over. He took it so personally that he brought ALL of his blood relative members, who all died, meaning no truly loyal soldiers...and that means that Capone can literally just sign a deal and they ALL FLIP. His arrogance and anger blinded him. Nevermind that HIS family started the whole thing by killing Grace.

Alfie is an excellent foil for Tommy. Even though Alfie has double crossed Tommy more than once I know he actually admires Tommy. I think Tommy respects Alfie as well. Even during the beach scene I can see the respect. Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy balance out each other in terms of acting. I hated to lose Adrian Brody (Luca). He’s been the best antagonist on the show so far.

I honestly wished Peaky Blinders ended here because when you think about it, most of the loose ends were all tied up & everyone got a happy ending, which is evident in the final scene, at this point in the story. Don’t get me wrong, next two seasons are great but this would’ve been a satisfactory capper to an already amazing show!

17:30 Funny thing about the setting for that scene. The beach they are on is close to Liverpool, it's part of a national park- kind of. Those sand dunes and mounds of dirt in the back aren't natural, they are huge piles of dumped tobacco waste from the 50's. Kind of fitting background for Tommy.
