Being too competitive is a problem for US and EU. But when EU and US are more competitive, they will have another narrative.

Not hypocrite, hypocrite imply believing in something to begin with, America never believed and will never believe in competition.

China should slap tariff on luxury and automotive from Europe and certainly from the US
@vlhc46422 күн бұрын
It's redundant, when a $20k Chinese car has more luxury and tech than a $50k European car, adding $10k to the European price won't change anything, and China never waste time on posture.

Soon Chinese parents will look at their children at dinner time and say : "If you don't study hard, you will only be able to drive a Mercedes-Benz and a BMW in the future."

China will never produce a car like Benz, even today. Respect the genius Karl Benz the father of all cars.

@@urimtefiki226 Really, you bet your uncertainty life based on legacy history of an individual? 50 years from now flying car from China and Benz still use ground-based aerodynamic design for flying? Libéralism means compétition. And when engaging competition You must be prépared to lose. Otherwise go for communism.
@ensteffo2 күн бұрын
Economic liberalism = capitalism which means a drive towards monopolies which in turn is the opposite of competition. So liberalism only means competition in the same way a water glass with a big hole in the bottom means "a glass of water".

China has successfully developed many new products ( EVs, drones, Tiktok, AI, etc) to transit from labour intensive to high tech. If there is any overcapacity as frequently mentioned by the West, this could be easily absorbed by the new industries. My Q is what happened to those industries and workers in the West when the production moved offshore and no new products subsequently developed to absorb those redundancy. Isn't the West actually have the overcapacity problem instead of China ?

Are US manufacturers dallying with easy profits on old-tech products for an indiscriminate elite rather than innovating for mass affordability?
@Gi-HomeКүн бұрын
The only overcapacity is the unmet demand for affordable EV's in the USA and the only country with the capacity to deliver high quality affordable EV's is China. Subsidies exist for expensive EV's in the west to make them affordable to a larger consumer base but they are still too expensive for most people. Instead they slap on huge tariffs to make these EV's too expensive for middleclass USA and the wests consumers.

Most westerners will never heard of China "Gu Theory". This theory is similar to capitalism and free market where various producers will compete among themselves. The last one stand will be the most productive. Gu theory works on the same principle by putting a a group of Gu insects in a single pot where the insects will kill each other. The last insert that survive is the strongest.

probably equivalent to darwinism.

Gu is ancient witchcraft practice of the Miao minority in China. The last surviving insect will be fed and grown and used on one's enemy.

People should be clear by now, EV’s main competitors are not other EVs but traditional fuel burning automakers. Yes, cheap is the key.
