This is a Studio Elite 1987 but this should be helpful for anyone with a lead/rhythm circuit. It can also help you if you just have a Studio Elite HD with the added series/parallel buttons.

1. 5-way switch and volume
2. Mid-boost button and control knob
3. The three pickup selectors (series/split/parallel)
4. Neck + Bridge On button (Tyler option)
5. Lead/rhythm switch

Unreal guitars and a great video. That's a lot to get across but you did an excellent job of explaining everything. I love the finishes and obviously the guitars are absolutely amazing.

Speaking of the 80's. I have a James Tyler logo-ed Strat shaped neck from 1985. It was installed on a Casio PG-380 guitar synth that I bought at the Sherman Oaks Guitar Center back in the early 2010's. It's a nice smooth easy feeling and playing neck. I have tried to contact Tyler about decoding some identifying information written on the butt of the neck, but got the impression they didn't want to talk about it at all.
