What about peepers? Peepers can help with chase because of lower speed and you can easily camp near a survivor with seeing rescue or kiters nearby Also a very smart Barmaid won’t mix at the start. A smart barmaid will wait for the reasons you mentioned and they will wait till they complete a cipher so they won’t have that debuff that really hurts her cipher

PopgoestheBendy i’ve never been a fan of peepers, but it is something that could work 😃 try it out for yourself and see if you like it, but with the upcoming nerf well it is going to be a little difficult 🤭 and yes your right about barmaid as well 🙂

Morning Star it works well though I haven’t been a fan of Blink until I started to learn Joseph, it’s good and I don’t run peepers anymore. I only do it on Robbie and what about the camera trick with Jump Card? Where it positions your camera in the direction of a survivor when using jump card.

PopgoestheBendy camera trick with jump card? Hhmmm tell me more about that I didn’t quite get the question & yea with the peepers nerf it’s not as effective. Using it on robbie is good tho, it helps when survivors cut your line of sight 🙂

Top Photographer here I come! Seriously, thank you very much for this. I thought I knew the 'basics' of Joseph but watching this I learned lots of new things. The strategies and the details to keep in mind (like the crows thing, I always ignored them!) were very helpful too! I'm going to put into practice and work really hard to master him. ghostiddy crows are tricky because they kinda blend into the background so you don’t notice them lol but pay attention because they can clutch out games sometimes 😄 and no problem so happy you enjoyed it ❤️❤️

@@midnight6783 hi there! I used to be around 40th~ joswph sets up cameras as his ability! When he starts up the camera, where the survivors were in that moment in time have a clone in the photoworld. If you hit the clone in the photoworld, it damages the survivors in the real world when the camera ends. For example, I find a survivor in photo world. If I only hit them once, because of Joseph’s 1.5x damage, when photo world ends, they become a one-hit ! Every time photo world ends, cipher machines also revert back 50% of what they were, which slows down decoding. Since this comments was a while ago idk if you will see this, but if you have any questions lmk!

Hey there. Amazing guide. Subbed. I just started to play Photographer a couple of days ago and so far I'm enjoying it. My favourite trick/thing to do in mid-game is to open the photo world, look for those wiggling ciphers in the real world. Go to that cipher via photo world. Position yourself properly. Use his first ability/card thingy to jump into real-world and press attack button asap. There's a high chance you'll end up terror shocking the decoding survivor x) Not sure if this trick works in higher tiers but it certainly works in low tiers.

ayyee that's a good strat 😃 It's hard to do that in higher tiers considering people usually check in and out of photo world, I used to do that a lot when photo was fairly new. Glad you're liking him so far! I'm sure you'll get onto the leaderboards with him 🤩

I know you’ve been asking for tips and here they are 😜 & honestly seers don’t really have much except tanking hits, what i’m really weak to are cowboys since those I NEVER see and i’m not used to them. Seers tho just make the kite longer 🥴

I’m so late to this, but I just wanted to say thank you for this blessing of a video 😭 This was the first guide video I found when I started playing Joseph, and overall learned a lot! I’m really low rank since.. rank matches scare me- but in quick matches I often win (unless I’m playing friendly), thanks to this! Love the small map persona build too- it’s so godly 💔 and I absolutely love time jump I’m so glad I learned about it sooner than later

I'm so happy you found this video! 😃 Rank matches can be pretty scary, but I'd say just go for it! Just treat them as normal games and have fun :) hey as long as you can get time jump down then you can do pretty much everything with joseph 🤩

Time jumps can be tricky, it takes a while to get used to them and even when you know how to use it, there's still a chance it'll go wrong lol. Glad you enjoyed it and good luck on your games!

In the jumpescare method , knowing the fact that the cipher machines' poles would start shaking when a cipher machine is being decoded makes it much easier to find survivors and surprise them , another tip : the more the pole shakes the closer the cipher machine is to finishing

Dude this was so good! I literally religiously studied this, made a whole document about everything you mentioned! I played IDV back in 2019 but I was only a young child then so I had only used my acc for maybe a month? So I just didn’t use it for nearly 5 years! Now I’m getting back into the game and grinded so hard for Joseph I got him in a day and a half, only then realising i had absolutely no clue how to play him. I’ve been looking up tutorials and tips for the past week but no one has explained it like you did! Also I would like to mention something I heard from a high ranked Joseph main. Apparently you can tell which cipher is being decoded by looking closely at the outline. If there’s someone working on it the outline will slightly flicker so you should look at it through a darker surface. Pretty sure Mech’s robot also makes an flicker but also when there’s a prisoner I’m pretty sure this method becomes a bit untrustworthy. I’m going to try this method out as soon as possible to see if it actually works because I’m not sure myself. Great video!

i love this. at one point i was so good at joseph but then i kind of reached a limit and eventually survivors starting beating me, and i didn’t feel like i really understood how to play characters to the fullest ability. Watching this video gave so many helpful tips, hope to be an expert like you someday :P trying to get my grind in this summer

Hey, I don't know if you'll see this as I'm a bit late to the party but... Do you have any tips to memorize survivor spawns?

Sorry I just saw this, honestly just studying is what helps best to memorize spawns. Going into custom mode allows you to see every single spawn on all maps which is so helpful 😅 but also creating a route for you helps as well. If you can find 2-3 survivors at the start of every match then you’re off to a great start 🙂

if you memorize the hunter spawn spots first it helps so you know which set of spawn spots the match is using!

Well the way you control your camera is by moving the button to where you control “time jump”, if you don’t move that then the camera is going to move in the direction to where the button is drifting closest to 😅

Ngoc Anh Nguyen yyyyeeessss, I had to go over EVERYTHING. As a hound survivor I’ve played against photo’s that don’t use their ability AT ALL the whole game. I hope they find this guide and helps them understand how to use the character. Nonetheless it’s a guide for everyone in all tiers 😄

Honestly there really isn’t a way, in my experience I just hope to get lucky. And it also kills time 😁 If you chair one person and get hits off the rest then it’ll make the game easier since they’re one hit now 🙂

I've seen it be mentioned before but do you know if jospehs hit box actually does change depending on the skin? If so, what skins have the smallest and biggest hit box?

IDV confirmed the skins did not affect the hitboxes, and to be honest I don't notice a difference with the skins lol

Yata_ _Gun hhhmm i’d say wait, because azrael is such an old skin 😅 BUT, if you don’t like his skin pack then you can just go for azrael, so i’d say to hold off until they release what his new skin will look like 😃

Of course :D Usually when you get to a certain tier in rank you're able to ban a character. So survivors and hunters can ban one character from each side that they'd rather not play against lol. Once you reach legendary mode you get the ban option :D

I'm watching this again because I want to main him one day XD but I still don't know how to play him correctly (and I feel blind specially in camera world lmao) Now that we have painter, should we use desperate fight or excitement instead of blink?

It's all good, if you watch my gameplays you'll see how blind I am lol but you'll get the hang of him just keep playing him and you'll be good 🙂 and honestly painter can be troublesome, but i'd still bring blink. In the case you find someone else, then blink will be better over excitement. Just my take so feel free to pick what you like. Also painter will get that nerf so shouldn't be too bad like he is now lol 😅

To be honest they haven't made any huge changes to joseph since I made this guide. The only thing is that you're not able to see grafitis of survivors in the opposite world. That's all :D everything else still applies. Once joseph gets a rework i'll make a guide once I get used to him more, so you should be good for now! ^_^

@@c.c.8866 I would use the small map persona on arms considering there's a lot of pallets lol I haven't played much on the new map, but judging by the layout i'd probably go with a big map persona. Still need to play more on there :)

Bored you don’t have to use my persona, but it is the one I find most helpful towards my games 😁 i’ve seen photo’s use trump card build and they win, it’s up to you. Try both out and see which one works for you 😃

It's just the icon that shows up on the top left of your screen. There is no noise to indicate that it's active. So make sure you're looking at the top left to see the ear icon pop up 🙂

Honestly Joseph isn't much of a win character, I haven't played him as much as I used to and even when I would I'd have a 60% win rate. It's not impossible, but he does take a lot of effort and good plays to get the win :O

Once you reach the higher tiers you'll access "legendary mode" which allows you to ban one survivor & hunter :D

I seriously don't understand the debuff on movement speed provided by Wanted Order. Level 1 provides a 4% debuff and level 3 provides a 0% debuff? Like, wth?
