The pistols in Pavlov VR come in all different sizes and shapes and each have their own quirks. Pistols are quite important in Search and Destroy however as they're commonly used on save/eco rounds as well as the first round of each half, known as "pistol rounds".
Mastering the pistols can take some time, as aiming them is a bit different from aiming rifles, especially if you use virtual stock. In this video we will go over each modern pistol and explain how to use them best.

Fun fact: in real life the five-seven was debated to be military use only in the US, as it had incredibly high firepower and could tear really easily through police issue armor.

Yeah, the 5-7 is one of the few pistols that was truly meant for armor piercing. That and a 20 round mag is just a deadly combo.

@@YellowHat07 it shoots a shortened down rifle round. It's role was designed to punch straight through whatever you're shooting at. I love using it in the zombies mode because it's got pretty low recoil and that 21+1 capacity is just nuts.

Check out 5.7 in full auto. It's actually controllable for a handgun AND the fire rate is crazy. AND it penetrates armor

I still use the revolver a ton. I’ve practiced aim and reload a lot, and it’s honestly very fun to dual wield. I practiced in the range and if I take my time I can hit at 60 yards consistently

I have been using the revolver since build 9 of Pavlov on oculus and I have used it so much that I only use one hand and can sometimes land consistent shoots but some will miss and this goes for any range and I can land consistent headshots to. I sometimes use two hand s and have similar accuracy. I have dominated entire lobbies with the revolver and can make other people switch to the revolver. I still think this video helps a ton with the revolver and that people do sleep on it.

The five seven is my FAVORITE pistol. It fires stupid fast and no one ever expects to get killed by it. Imo opinion the best CQB pistol.

For me it shoots a bit high, but I could almost see it being pistol round meta now as it would be the most consistent weapon across the board, excluding the deagle. Five seven 1 taps are nice though on pistol round.

@@YellowHat07 I’m not a hardcore SND player. But for TDM it’s very reliable. I play up against player with rifles all the time and win the fight. In close I would argue the five seven has an advantage over any of the rifles. Especially if you are a noob like me. All I do is flick my wrist upwards and spray without aiming. Can usually get consistent headshots with that. For medium range it’s helped me with my strafe practice as as manipulating the ammo economy of the other person. I’ll pop in and put of cover taking pot shot and still have ammo by the time they have to reload. Definitely you’re at a disadvantage with this pistol but it holds it own in TDM. It’s helped me get better with the rifles as well. Feels nice to actually get headshots with the AK

I don't know if this is a bad technique I picked up, but I watched a 40s police training video that taught officers how to semi-reliably aim from the hip, should they ever need to. Sometimes I just keep my pistol down there and keep firing and reloading as fast as possible. It's done me well enough so far

I think they should extend the minimum range falloff for the revolver to be 15 meters, so it would be consistent in more maps and be able to better compete alongside the desert eagle. It's still good, but having to fire 3 out of 5 shots to kill someone who is just past that 10 meter mark feels bad.

It can feel bad, and Ive definitely been screwed over by it a few times, but it just makes it more of a high risk high reward weapon imo, especially if you can get up close and land the 2 hit kill. Even in the 3 hit range, its doing more than 40 damage all the way out to 25 m, so youll be 1 shot to practically anything. Could go 11-12.5 m, but nothing too much more as make the revo too good and youll make the deagle pretty much worthless again.

@@YellowHat07 they could simply make the revolver and deagle both good in their own ways. Like the dealer could be for longer ranges while the revolver is a beast up close. The revolver's recoil is way too high to be super effective at close range

extra tip: if you're using oculus you can reset the slider on a pistol by hitting the B key after putting in a new mag, not sure what the control is on other devices though.

Darn, I'm jealous on how lag free your gameplay is. I have 1 second revolver reload delay which made rapidly reloading like that impossible. At least the hit register is on client side so I can enjoy the game.

Tec9 is really fun with the awp assuming it's the same on PC. But I run around with the awp if I miss the headshot but hit the body shot I just take my left hand off the awp and take out the tec9 which they should be one shot to.

My favorite set up. Is running a revolver with laser and a deaglr on my hip on the same side. With the spas 12 in my other hand lol. So much fun 10/10 would recommend

Revolvers are THE best weapon. Walk around dual wield and you're unstoppable. Man, I love being in TTT and shooting a random guy's head off with either a revolver or an AK..

Tech 9 has always been my go to pistol in search and destroy If you can't afford a rifle or smg after buying Armor, I always go for the Tech 9 as good Trigger finger can combat someone with a rifle

To an extent yes. Ive been meaning to get a Q2 and shack to actually be able to test the differences, as the lower refresh rates affect how recoil feels, and fire rate as well.

@@YellowHat07 Shack is nearly identical to Pavlov PC; take that from an owner of both. The beta branch updates seem to have already pushed to Shack, since the Glock is already $650 and unable to full-auto. The only discernable difference between Shack and PC is the distinct lack of magnified optics, and a different lighting engine.

I record VR view in steam and have it render both eyes with right eye dominance. The motion blur is a plug in called "Real Smooth Motion Blur" that works with both sony vegas and adobe premiere.

The Baretta is the only gun besides the m1911 that you can buy WITH armour in the pistol round. It also has double the bullits of a M1911.

I understand this video is old, but when me and my friend play SND, one of us gets the Tec, while the other gets the Deagle(usually me since I'm the more accurate one out of us two). Depending on the skill level of the enemies and what weapons they have, we could absolutely demolish the enemy team. Only thing is, this was before the RC update. Tec didn't have burst-fire, so now it's a little harder for him to use.

I like Death Matches where you have infinite or a stupid amount of money because I just buy the Saiga-12 and destroy everyone, but I guess for a pistol I like the FN Five SeveN(not a typo) since it basically shoots mini rifle rounds, but also like the Glock 18 because you can do semi and 3 round burst, even tho the real thing can do full auto, it's perfect because past a 3 round burst all the weapons are unusable unless you wait for the recoil to reset, but I also like the Deagle with a laser because headshots

I still prefer the revo over the deagle for the sole reason that I think it's easier to aim. My bullets with the deagle feel like RNG half the time. :(

With single pistol, my issue is not knowing how to hold the controllers. I want to let go of the left controller to adopt a typical shooting stance. But then I don't have access to any controls on the left controller. But keeping hold of it, I can't figure out a way to stabilise my aim with my left hand. I can't find a position holding two controllers when using one pistol that works aside from one handing it, which I don't like.

Dual Wielding Pistols are Hard to Control. Probably even Takes longer to Reload since its 2 Magazines being reloaded

They do not, but they do reduce muzzle flash and they get rid of bullet tracers
