Marriage is single most important decision in life, so it should never be rushed. I have seen loveless arranged marriages that work because the girl is financially dependent on husband, these marriages are sad to see

Yes 95% arranged marriage r same !! I feel people should Arrange their marrriage by themselves instead any other person and also there shouldn't be any time limit of typical courtship period!! Indian Arranged marriage has lots of lowpools!! Every marriages r arranged but that arranged should be between only 2 individuals and also there shouldn't be any physical ,mental , time limit and emotional blackmail !!!

But most of marriages happen in harmony in India..because few peoples dont have that kind of karma to manage their Marriage peacfully it don't mean that all are suffering this situation.. hindu marriage system is made by top class sages and yogis ...most of western women lack temperament and live with extreme liberties and become alcoholic and druggist after few years and live life like street prestitutes and destroy personal life forever

Actually indian arranged marriage judges the boy based on his job, house and cars. Girl is judged by her looks, dowry and cooking skills. No one cares about their character. How are you going to know the actual character of a person in a few months? How do you know if they are compatible? I am not completely against arranged marriage, but atleast there should be an option to get to know each other rather than rushing to engagement after first visit.

Haha.... not just in social media but also over time.... We are married for 13 years now.... change did happen over time.... my husband now makes dinner for our children when I'm busy with other work.... when we were married, he didn't even know to make an omelet.... Let's be positive😊

Let's wish...but it's 2022 yet there is no change...our all parents went through all this but yet....most of them won't understand what there doughtr want's....they are not even willing to give them proper education....every time we ask them something that we willing to do They always say "get married take your husband's permission and do it" itss sad but true...LETS HOPE SOME DAY THIS GONNA CHANGE...... exactly..and how to know if tht partner is understanding? in love marriage we ofc will know if the other person is understanding or not cause we have been in relationship. but in arrange marriage we dont. so in arrange marriage its better to give some time for THEM to decide if they think they are a good match.

A basic translation: the event is a ceremony in which the man and his parents visit the lady's house to meet the lady during an arranged marriage setup. When the girl is dressing up she is unsure and her dad tells her to come out quickly because the guests were waiting. Then the girl asked "but how can I be sure if I will be happy with him for the rest of my life?" While talking the boy's parents ask the girl's parents if the marriage can take place, but then the girl's dad said "okay but I want to know what your son can do to look after the house and if he can cook" And then the boy's mother says "oh him, all he knows is how to put water in a glass. He occasionally makes instant noodles and that's all" So then the lady's father says "but my daughter cannot survive on instant noodles for the rest of her life" And then the boy musters up his courage and says "sir, why don't you visit our home after ten days. By then I will learn to cook something" For which everyone feels joy💜

@Kabir Khan boy... parents never try to put you in a bad condition. They dedicate their life for their childrens . I know in arrange marriage both boy and girl need time. But in reality most parents collects information about the bride/groom from their periphery and relatives.

@@bickyplease yeah! but the background check is not 100% good enough, like what if the guy/girl is all good but our personalities and opinions clash, its's actually really almost risky, parents will have their own definition of a "good husband" and their child probably has a different definition (because of generation difference), But yeah, if both parents AND their child agree on it then no problem, but sometimes it may be forced or parents might emotionally manipulate their kid because they think they're always right... that's where the problem begins :(

I'm not against arranged marriage but in many areas some parents just marry off their children and won't even give time to get to know each other. Thankfully my family and our relatives often set the wedding date six months to even an year after the initial meet.

Sad truth is...even now in aranged marriages the opinions of parents have more importance. Children who give their parents the right to decide often end up cursing themselves for not being bit more rude and forthright about what they wanted in life.

They say people get divorce or something happen unusual and start taking examples of people we know who get divorce from love marriage . Very good. I know cooking all our traditional foods before marriage. My mother was bedridden when I was in 8th standard. My maternal grandmother came and stayed with us for some months. From her I learnt everything at that age and took care of my mother whenever she was sick. I have one elder and younger brother only. They didn't learn. Now mother is not there but I happily cook many times for my wife and son. It gives me immense happiness ❤️❤️

People must date atelast 1 year before getting arranged marriage coz life mein kuch bhi ho sakta h after marriage so u must know each other well!! If u accept ur parents decision then at least have 1 or 2 years of dating and then marry!! Marriage ek bohut hi badha life changing decision h tho iske liye preparation jarori h otherwise u may fail in such exam without preparation!!

It's not necessary to take 1 year for dating then how can u call it arranged marriage, important is that how much you both know about each other,how is your understanding. sometimes people know about each other in just 2or 3 weeks and sometimes they don't understand anything each other even after 3yrs so time doesn't matter your understanding and believe matter

For marriage u meed to know the positive amd negative side of ur opposite partner and then u hv to fall in love with that!! That's the reason why people date each other for long !! In 90% arranged marriage people only show their gud side amd try to give lots of efforts !! But for me i need to know the both side of the person and them accept that person of how she is !! Arranhed cum love marriage is better than typical arranged marriage coz life is only once so u need to do try every possible stuffs before taking decsion coz what's the hurry to gwt married soon?? And if it's family pressure to get to know soon and then get married tho ismein main kuch nhi keh sakta !!

At this point in my life I feel, marriages are about finding the optimal arrangement between you and your partner. In Indian context, there is the additional factor of both families. Romantic love is overrated by the media we consume. To the point of the idea that one should only marry for love (romantic love). We are fed this notion of love as an unchanging and everlasting thing (feeling/emotion). This video brings up a good question. But only from one point of view. This is premised on that there should be an equal division of labour. Which is right from a justice point of view. But life is far too nuanced. E.g. a highly busy man looking for a wife who can take up all the domestic responsibilities. The reverse can also happen.

This is a stereotypes of arrange marriage. This doesn't happen usually that just eating samosas u have to decide. There is actually deep research is done by parents and other relatives. All possible background, nature, current status is checked and then after they invite not only to see and eat but also to talk openly about any demands, expectations etc. Some privacy is also given to couple for some personal talk. Then after leaving some days later their opinion is asked, not on the spot as shown in this video.

I’m a woman myself and I hate the thought of being dependent on someone for everything. Expenses have been increasing like crazy these days, long gone are the days where a man’s salary was enough to cover the expenses for one household. Things are crazy expensive, and if you decide to have kids, that guy better be a millionaire if you want to be a stay at home mom. Nothing wrong with being a homemaker, they do contribute and take care of the kids(it is a demanding job) but from a financial perspective.. yikes. Whatever works for you and your partner though.
