Patrick Wilson (as Ed Warren) sings Can't Help Falling in Love With You in The Conjuring 2. I love this scene so I made a quick video of it.

This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. The whole movie is so dark and sometimes scary, but in this scene you forget about the darkness and it makes you smile. This scene brings out the light to this poor family and you can feel the love they have for each other, not to mention the love Ed and Lorraine share.

This is the first horror movie that makes me smile in a heartfelt way, even the feeling a bit teary. Any other horror movie that has me giddy is when an antagonist gets wrecked or some epic moment happens and even then, it doesn’t really leave an impact after I’m done with the movie. This scene however, I can still recall this more than most of the scenes in the movie. The song hits me in a more personal level, there’s a calm before the storm feel, the family who been facing poltergeist activity for the longest time gets some levity with the music that their dad took away.

This is a revolutionary scene for horror movies. We mostly get people running and screaming. There are not many chances for us to empathize with the characters. Mostly a weird romantic relationship or a tragic background is thrown in. This scene makes us love and care for the characters effortlessly. We see that they are human beings that can love and laugh. I love James Wan for giving us this scene.
@rachelx83055 жыл бұрын
The best thing about the conjuring universe is they have characters we root for. They have an actual story. I especially love how Ed and Lorraine help the families in more than a spiritual way. E.g. in conjuring 1 and 2 you can find ed helping around the house fixing things for the family.

Well the movies idealized them way much. There’s a lot of awful stories about them and how dishonest they were dealing with this supposedly paranormal cases, they actually got interesting footage on video but in reality they were more about the money than anything else
@RealBoxingKings2 жыл бұрын
@@schizoplay9608actually most of the stuff on the movies is just added for story. Ed and Lorraine never really stayed quite long in the investigations, for the Hodgson investigation they stayed for about a day or two and for the Perrons, the Perrons claimed they never got real help from the Warrens other than for a few days and they left afterwards. The movies make the Warrens look like selfless heroic ghost hunters but they were just journalists who came in and took any creepy thing they could find and add it to their museum.

Beautiful moment. The light was seeping into the darkness for just a short few minutes. But you can feel the hope and the beautiful harmony when they all start singing. This is my favorite scene. Many others are but this one stands out because in a movie full of darkness they are allowed to feel at least free for a couple of minutes. This,this is what peace and harmony looks like. The look on all their faces says it all. It makes you want to cry and believe in the hope that something good is waiting on the other side of the tunnel. You completely forget you're watching a horror film. And it turns into a beautiful masterpiece. Bravo. ❤

This scene made the movie for me. I cried when she looked at him like he was her world. Great acting. Fell in the with the song and scene.

Vera's performance in this scene gets seriously overshadowed by Patrick's. Such a powerful display of emotion. This scene alone is so well done.

First and only horror movie I've ever actually cried during watching...so beautiful during this scene and when they dance together at the end to this song...I fell in love with this movie for that, alone. When you see Patrick and Vera look at each other while Patrick's singing...it gets me, man.

Imagine when Elvis would appear right next to him at 1:26 and starts singing too while smiles and thinks: "thank you. It means so much to me 😁"....

The Conjuring 2 is both scary and heartwarming at the same time, something I never thought could happen with a horror movie. Props to them for that.

I remember when this scene came in the cinema. I stood quiet, everybody too. Everybody in the cinema including me were just stunned. Tbh, I've never quite experience such feels. Whoever idea was behind this scene really did a good job.

I always laugh at the lines just before this scene: PEGGY (of her ex husband): He took all the music with him when he left. ED: I know it feels that way.... PEGGY: No, I mean literally. He took his entire record collection.

The aspects of family, bonding and hope are what makes these two films stand out from the many paranormal/poltergeist films we've encountered in cinema history so far.

This scene makes the helpless horror scenario in the conjuring look so carefree in middle of the movie, it really catches you off guard while watching the movie. and for being able to to that, conjuring remains one of the best horror franchises ever
@crysis4real2 жыл бұрын
The chemistry between these two in this movie made it one of best horror movies i.e. love defeats all evil !
