I was looking at various .22 rifles for plinking, specifically Ruger and Savage semi-automatics. After watching this video, you persuaded me that I don't need to go to war with rabbits:) I just purchased a Cooey Model 60 Repeater today for $210. It is in great shape and looking forward to taking it to the range!

Everything you are saying is spot on. I never wanted or needed a semi auto rimfire rifle. Now I have two 10/22’s but still use my Marlin model 25 7 shot Rimfire bolt action. 👍👍👍✌🏻🇺🇸🙏🏽😎

I bought my cooey 60 in lachine qc. 55 years ago. I paid 8.00 cash to a friend of a friend who wanted beer money. I lost the original stock 12 years ago and still love this gun. Rifling and firing pin like new.

My son bought the Stevens model 64. I love the steel. It's a really good gun.

Yep I have a Coey 39 single shot...had it since I was a kid and I have a Model 60 as well...great little rifles. Plus a whole assortment of other rifles plus a Ruger 10/22 nice little rifle but would rather use the Coeys any day! - great video Greg Thank You. Mike 🇨🇦 🍁 👍

love the inner tube sling. Never thought to do such a thing but makes sense. I think I'll make one, like the idea of the sling being more elastic keeping the thing in place when slung.

I picked up a Model 60 a few years ago and absolutely love it. Paid around $100 Australian. Not many of them around here anymore. Probably all been crushed. Nice idea with the inner tube sling. 👍

When I was 10 I found a rifle leaning against a garage. It looked just like the one from the rifleman! (1970). Well I couldn’t pass it up so I grabbed it cocked it and fired. It hadn’t closed all the way and the thing slammed up on my three fingers. Blood everywhere. 🙁 this made me afraid of guns for most of my life. Sooo, I went on a BOW weekend a few years ago. (Becoming an Outdoors Woman) I wanted to learn gun safety and how to correctly shoot a rifle. (It was great because I learned that and how to load and shoot a muzzle loader.) anyway I have big respect, and I learned I’m a pretty good shot. Since then I’ve been looking for a simple rifle. A 22. I go to gun shows and it seems like they have rifles with way more than I need. Still looking and when I find it I’ll know. Thanks for this video. Bought the cooey mohawk 75 with straight grip and custom front sights. It has a short barrel at half the size of a regular cooey75. Cooey 75 mohawk. Made only 2 years.

Cooey has many models 35 pump 39 single shot 55 single shot 60 repeater 64 semi auto 75 /75 whale belly single shot Model 84 shotguns 410/28/20/16/12 g Also there Center fire lines. Highly collectable these days. Once Winchester took over the added a 0 to those model numbers. Great all round reliable firearms. I’m sure I am missing some models. 82 military training 22 as well

great advise greg. i have a 22 semi auto with scope but really impractical in the bush. been wanting a little rabbit gun for some time but when they're traded in they just fly off the shelf.

A boy should learn on a single shot, but on a good gopher shoot at my cousin's farm I once shot 190 gophers in less than 3 hours and I couldn't have got that many without what you might call high capacity mags.

Can't believe you got that rifle for so cheap. The initial investment was keeping me out of hunting but, I might have to look into getting into it now.
