Here from sir fluffs amv but it hit harder knowing its about someone lost from epilepsy. My family lost my sisters then fiancé from an epileptic attack 8 years ago. He had both epilepsy and type 1 diabetes which was sadly a very deadly combination. He only lived to 21 as well.

This song resonates to my core more than any other out there. Lost my best friend to suicide a couple years back. His alarm call was always on during the last few years, and I was always there to have a smoke and share a laugh; just to stave off the crushing dread he felt. He made an attempt years ago, and I remember rushing to the car when I got the message; thankfully he didn't succeed that time, because I would have been too late. Something broke him though, and he checked himself into a psychiatric ward. About a week later he got out, came home, and everything seemed fine. I had made plans to come see him, and was going to show up early and surprise him; but felt he probably needed time with his family. His parents left him alone for only a few minutes, and by the time they got back; he was gone. He had it planned out already, without even a goodbye. God... I wish so badly that I had just gone to see him, I could have stopped him.

bro you have the survivor sindrome what is that you feel guilty because you survive, but bro that doesn't depend of you and maybe you say but ... if i was.... i could give more..... but bro you did all what was in your hands, thats thing of him and if you didn't notice that was because he wants that you don't know and he can, thats not your fault only he didn't want you to know and you couldn't do more.... so dont feel guilty about that and go to terapy.

I almost lost my dad to an attempt a few years back.. he’s much better now, but at the time I could only imagine what he could have been going through back then. My memory of the day is foggy, except for the moment I learned of what happened, and I couldn’t help but blame myself a little, even if I knew it wasn’t my fault. Even now it still feels like a burden to carry that memory, that I may never be fully rid of. I have largely excepted it now, it’s in the past, and I can’t change that, but I can change what can happens later, even in small ways, and I always try to help people when they are struggling.

I remember the first time I listened to this song. It made me cry uncontrollably since I have two brothers with epilepsy. They've thankfully gone 4-5 years off meds/seizure-free. It was so difficult to watch them sieze and to watch my parents stress about them all the time. The irony is that I was diagnosed with epilepsy earlier this week. I went 20 years not knowing. Now my brothers have to watch me go through with their issues, and my parents have to deal with it all over again.

Lyrics: Where have you gone? I am calling on you Your alarm call's on and I'm coming to your rescue I know exactly what to do I make the call and sit by you Check your heartbeat against mine And mop your brow from time to time Where have you gone? I am calling on you Your alarm call's on and I'm coming to your rescue When I'm the person by your side I'm your mentor, I'm your guide Upon me you can rely When you're high and when you're dry The irony is that my recovery is always slower than yours You're back on your feet in no time when I'm left floored Haunted by the sound of your alarm call Living in fear of your next fall Where have you gone? I am calling on you Your alarm call's on and I'm coming to your rescue I know exactly what to do I make the call and sit by you Check your heartbeat against mine But there's no trace of it this time Where have you gone? I am calling on you My siren's on and there's so many things that I need you to do I never asked when you were here Because it seemed so crystal clear That it was you who needed me That was the way it had to be Where have you gone? I am calling on you! My siren's on and there's so many things that I need you to do Be my mentor, be my guide Show me when to run and where to hide I know you would've known just what to do With all the things that life could throw at you My siren will remain on for a while Waiting soundproof by a timid little smile I'm still haunted by your alarm call Without the fear of your next fall Where have you gone? I am calling on you My siren's on and there's so many things that I need you to do! So many moods that you could change So many thoughts you'd rearrange So many rules I know you'd bend So all good things will find their end...

I found this band today, I enjoy electro-swing and this band has captivated my attention with its unique style. I wanted to say that so people can understand where I came from. That I am new to this band and that I enjoy them greatly. However I have something else to say, I almost skipped this song so that I could listen to another one of my favorites, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot because I listened to all of their others and I consider myself to be a completionist, when I started the song I couldn't understand the lyrics right away, that's how I am, it takes me a few time to get the lyrics but from the mood of the song and the video I could feel a connection. The two faces reminded me of pictures of myself and my brother. By the end of the song I understood exactly what was going on and though the faces reminded me of my brother, the connection I have with it now is more towards my sister. She has epilepsy, and we have a large and close family, so I understand the feeling of holding someone and checking their vital signs while you wait for/ hope for things to go back to normal. I have always been afraid of what would happen to her if one of us wasn't there, she has two children and we have always been there for her but I couldn't explain my fear to most people because it isn't extremely common, especially for cases as serious as my sister's. With this song I feel like people can understand a little better. I want to thank everyone who have purchased this song and I want to thank this band for giving the money to help with this issue. I am now a huge fan and my heart goes out to the singer of this song. I just figured I would share this with you in case it would sway your decision in buying the song.

I know this is a song about epilepsy, but I feel like this is also a depression mood. My best friend is suicidal and she's gone offline for long periods of time with no explanation several times and every time it happens I'm just so scared. Like, hypothetically I know she's going to be back and after a bit of time we'll be exchanging memes again and talking about weird movies and fanfiction, but there's always this nagging thought in the back of my head. What if she doesn't come back this time? What if I miss a message in which she says her final goodbye? What if one day I check my phone after school and find she had her last breakdown and I wasn't there? It's just something that haunts me so much. She's my best friend and I can't imagine living without her. It hurts to see what she is going through without being able to stop it. All I can do is stay by her side, make sure to check on her and pray I don't miss her lowest points.

I have two brothers...One of them is two years younger than me, and we've been inseparable our whole lives. The other is 9 years younger, and we argue a lot, but I still love and care about him. The thought of anything happening to either of them tears me apart. I can only begin to imagine the pain Mr. Bruce must have gone through...

This is such an amazing song. Ironically it’s also sort of relatable. My grandma suffered from epilepsy, and every now as then she would have a seizure and be hospitalised for a few days, but she always bounced right back. Then one day she had a stroke and passed away later that week. It was so strange that she didn’t just continue life normally afterwards like when she had seizures. This song is sort of comforting in a sense?

My sister has struggled with anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember, since we were kids she's gone through some bad shit and I've always been the one there for her. I love her, and I'm glad I'm here to support her, but we've gone through endless nights of talks about mental health and suicidal thoughts, living in constant fear of her hurting herself or worse, not being able to even look at my phone because I'm scared of receiving that "thank you for everything" text. It's hard, man. I don't think i had ever come across a song that describes so well the collateral damage the close ones of the affected suffer. The line "haunted by the sound of your alarm call, living in fear of your next fall" describes it so well. Nowadays she's doing better but anxiety and depression don't just go away like that, and the nagging fear of "what if?" Is something I will never get over.
