I've picked up a couple cars from estates or folks letting go of their collections because they can't take 'em with when their time comes. In all cases, the seller has been happy to have their prized car go to the next caretaker; someone who will enjoy and look after the car and hopefully not just hoard it away, let it rot, or just flip it. They know when it's going to a good home, and that makes them happy.

My prayers go out to the elderly man who has to part with these two absolute classics. In the late 1970's I owned a '67 Vette in Tuxedo Black, L88 427 with a lumpy cam, and an M22 Rock Crusher 4 speed. Man the sound that thing made. The transmission has a whine to it that sounds like no other. I had it for 18 months. I bought it for $5500.00 cash and sold it for $7850.00. I thought I was a financial genius driving an incredible car for a year and a half and then making a smooth $2350.00 profit on it. I could have kept it, but that profit was too tempting. Now it would be worth... Maybe $200K??? I'm going to go bang my head on the wall! LOL

A barn find is a classic car, aircraft or motorcycle that has been rediscovered after being stored, often in derelict condition. The term comes from their tendency to be found in places such as barns, sheds, carports and outbuildings where they have been stored for many years. The term usually applies to vehicles that are rare and valuable, and which are consequently of great interest to collectors and enthusiasts despite their poor condition. -Wikipedia

He's not 'broke', especially considering he owns burger chains and other business ventures. Hoovie kills me, buys a priceless Corvette Stingray, doesn't tie it down on his trailer. 14:23 Where are the baskets on the wheels? I see 1 chain there, I'm flabbergasted.
@Yesthatsmyfirstname3 жыл бұрын
@14:25 you can see there's a rear chain. I'd definitely over do it with the tie downs if it were me, but it's passable.
@jameslong37523 жыл бұрын
Wench cable around the rear end and chain on the front. I agree it's not the way I would tie it down for a 5 hour trip, but at least its secured at both ends.

He was probably hoping the vette would be destroyed because thatd be good content. Remember when his Ferrari burned? He made like 3 videos on just that

I gotta say that corvette beats the Lamborghini, I'm 50, and my dad has a 58 vette. Awesome find.

It doesn't look strapped down. I hope Hoovie makes it home with it still on the trailer. It's a gem!
@ChrisM7773 жыл бұрын
Take a second look, it is obviously strapped down. This might be the dumbest car channel in whole of KZfaq, but Hoovie isn’t that stupid.
@jamesemcclure3 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisM777 I see no evidence of straps at 14:23 but maybe you're right. Buying that car Hoovie is not that stupid.
