Love you're videos, I think they're the only thing on the you tube that gives a real look of what its like at CIA, and they're awesome. I'm starting in January, I work in a restaurant right now and have my own knife roll and was wondering if you're allowed to have your own or if you have to use the schools? Thanks and keep posting!

Thanks so much for the support! You're allowed to bring your own. I was using the schools for the first few weeks but they're very big and bulky like a briefcase so I use my own

Hi there! Watched some of your videos. Very informative, especially someone like me who's not from the US. Thank you for those videos. I have couple of questions. Roughly, what is population of international students there (NY campus)? and are there many mid career (matured) students in CIA? Thanks !!

I am interested in applying to the New York one where you went and would love to have some of your advice and answer some of the concerns/questions I have. I could email you if that would work? Hi Vic, I am planning to enroll in the month of May at the New York Campus, the one near the Hudson river. Since you are talking about costs, i think you resonated out the point of ICE and one more pretty well about them being short and costing almost the same when it comes to considering everything. Like for me, coming from India, $80,000 is a lot for the total course, but ICE and other institutes on the top 10 list are charging almost the same price. Atleast CIA os being blunt about the cost of on campus housing including the food (foodie here :P ) I think you get the point. Thank you again for giving me some assurance. Also, I would like to ask a favour of that is possible...they have some plan where, I think if a CIA allumni writes a letter of recommendation, I get a flat $1000 off, since I am taking a loan...could you connect me to some allumni after my application goes through?

Add, another 30 grand on opportunity cost and you'll have a good total. this school is great if you want to learn the skills that are required to be a great chef, but that being said you have to be open to learning new things and working with different people. I've been a student at the CIA for three years and I can tell you a couple more things, for example, its all about connections you meet a lot of people in this school that in the future will most likely help you out, how you ask? maybe looking for a job or even helping you open a new restaurant. if you have your financials right go for it. come to the CIA and learn. There are many opportunities but watch out because our financial assistant sucks.
