What is it costing you to follow Jesus? Most of the disciples were martyr's death by standing with Jesus and speaking the truth. We see this as John the Baptist and Stephen in the Bible. "That which costs you nothing has no value to you." Following Jesus will cost you finances, friends, worldly pleasure, and other things.

This was astounding. He eloquently and perfectly laid out what’s wrong with the modern church, without bashing it. I hope The Lord keeps this man keeps preaching the gospel for all his days, because he gets it.

Finally someone with recognition laying down some truth. So many preach for the crowds today, deceiving and being decieved. Jesus is clear, it will cost you everything to be his disciple. After years of believing in the Lord Jesus, he has finally opened my eyes and heart to HIS teachings. What i have learned is its not confessing Jesus as Lord that brings the persecution. Its following and doing his teachings. Thats what brings the persecution.

I'm a back slider, I dont know why I dont change. Had nightmares for a year. Now I'm just numb, my heart is like a rock. I really dont want to go to hell but Im almost certain I'm gonna burn in hell forever. Because I'm in a relationship I've put above him that isn't what he wants. Guess I'm failing this test.

Just ask God for the Holy Spirit, then you'll be saved. Romans 8:9 says if any have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Good luck!

Cry out for mercy and begin to seek Him in His Word. Romans 10:17 says, "Faith comes by hearing and that of the Word of God (the Bible)." I will pray the Holy Spirit will change your heart by faith!

When he talks about Jesus saying something about how someone shouldn’t leave their family because of something @12:02, does anyone know what verse he may be referring to? Thank you for any tips or advice!

Luke 9:59-60 he wasn’t saying that someone should not leave their family because of something. A person said to Jesus I will follow you but first I want to wait until my parents die and then I will follow you, and Jesus replied and said if that’s what you want to do then you were not worthy of me.

Would I have to give up the following to please God.... 1.Sex before marriage ? 2.Alcohol & Cigarettes ? 3.Pride and wanting to be successful in life and make a positive difference ? 4. Making a lot of money and living an adventurous lifestyle ? 5. Releasing anger and resentment when life causes me to feel like that ? I thought that to please god , all I would have to do is follow the commandments. I was raised Catholic in an Italian Family. I knew that the catholic faith was demonic because they worship false idols and pray to Mary and the saints. Could you give me a quick summary, like a ‘to do list’ of how I can find the truth (Jesus)? Also what bible version would you recommend I read? I would really appreciate this. Thank you xx

The best way to find out the truth about Jesus is to read all 4 of the Gospels. Matthew is my personal favorite because it has the sermon on the mount. I'd suggest either Matthew or John first, either of those will give you a clear picture of the boldness of Jesus. As for Bible versions, I'd stay away from any paraphrasing translations. From my research, the NASB is the most literal translation and I personally think it's easy to read. Just look up the definitions of the words you don't understand.

In short, yes. Repentance is necessary. It is necessary to humble yourself before God and to acknowledge that you are, indeed, a filthy sinner. When you give your life to Christ, you will be changed. But you have to allow God to change you, to mold you into more of His image and less of yourself. This WILL be difficult, but you have to deny yourself and take up the cross. Following Jesus is hard, but it is all worth it in the end. When you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit will convict you of your sins and you will be molded into God's image. The fruits of the spirit will come after that. Read the Gospels and Romans. Praying for you brother.

1. yes, 2. not necessarily, 3. pride in particular, yes, 4. no, 5. you won't feel as angry and resentful if you have the Holy Spirit the truth of Jesus is in the 4 first books of the New Testament. the book of Romans and the other epistles are also very helpful in understanding salvation. I prefer the KJV Bible myself. Good luck!

It is important to repent, but don’t make being a Christian a “to-do list” thing (I’m guilty of this too). Having the Holy Spirit inside of us convicts us to change from these things.

This could be true, but don’t just sit there judging the church about how they need this message (if you were). We need it too. The LORD please help us in this journey of turning to HIM to just get it.
