Great video! It is good to see how day to day life works (and costs) in Cozumel. You mentioned briefly that you guys have been "here" for two years ... is that all in Cozumel? Or were you elsewhere in Mexico? It would be interesting to hear your story, what brought you to Cozumel rather than somewhere else, etc.. Also, how are the Walmarts and Sams Club for basic things you need? Is there a decent bakery in town where you can get actual sourdoughs, baguettes, etc?? Looking forward to more videos!

Yes we have only been in Cozumel for those two years but have traveled through a lot of Mexico. The sams is pretty decent and we have an equivalent of wal mart on the island. I do have a video planned to talk about the items we miss/can't get here. We have some great bakeries here. Zermatts is one of them. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have vi😂sited year since 2021, love it there, people are quite nice and i have made friends now who meet up from Cdn and US yearly. Mexico is my second home i hope.

I/we love Cozumel (since the 1980's). Alway wondered what it would be like to live there. Seems a bit more touristy now with the Cruise lines. We've never been on a cruise ship, would rather stay at the location instead of a brief outing wherever the ship is going). We would go eat where the locals eat, not the mainstream restaurants. Was cheaper and more authentic too. We'd also find these hidden gems where they'd give us a 4 course meal in a place off the beaten path (a back street off the main drag) and the food and service was incredible. Do you go more to places like that, or just go anywhere to eat whatever yoou feel like eating (I hope that made sense)? Since a few years before Covid, we haven't been back. Thanks for the video. Curious what area you are living in. We always stayed in town, Vista Del Mar, other dive shop dwellings, etc. just cheaper places vs. the all inclusives south of town.

We really like eating the more authentic places. The further back the better. We used to stay at Vista Del Mar a lot and really liked it. We live close to Sam's Club. Mike and I are coming back in January with about 14 people. We are looking for free beaches to enjoy for a few hours each day while we are there. Can you post some information and videos about those. We are staying in an airbnb around C 1 Sur and 15A Avenida Sur if that helps wit location. Thank you.

I would suggest any laundry close to where you are staying. We use citi on 30th but they are pretty much all the same. If you drop off today it will be ready tomorrow. Washed, dried, folded, and bagged.

Sorry, I have sooooo many questions. I love Cozumel. Is it easy to find an apartment with a pool for a six month lease? What about 3 months leases? Do they have anything like that? And what area are you in? In town? Are you responsible for getting your utilities set up or do the apartments set that kind of thing up?

Questions are not a problem. We will help anyway we can. We have lived here 2 years now and only lived in two places. We found both of them on facebook market place. The best time to find a place is may through October (slow season) Most places have wifi included. My landlord at both places has shown me the water and electric bill and I just pay them.

So I have been there twice and going this coming week. I noticed you stated renting several times in the video. Have you considered purchasing? Investigated the process for doing so and if not, why not?

To be 100% honest we can't afford to buy. The interest rates are outstandingly high so you are better off paying cash for a house. We are happy with renting for now because if we decide to do something different then we just do it. Thank you for the questions and thank you for watching.

Cozumel is very safe. I Googled crime rate in Cozumel vs the crime rate of my home city with the same population. My home city in the u.s. was double. There are areas with several expats but you are safe in any area.

We just landed to Cozumel to live forever (we hope..). However, the pricing has gone up even a year ago we were here.... What location are you guys getting the apartment, and also which lavanderia you guys go? We just priced the one that is closed to us and it is not that cheap....

The best way to find an apartment is through market place on Facebook. The neighborhoods are safe here. No need to worry about one being safer than the other. We use siti lavandería on av. Lic. Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. They charge 55 pesos for 3 kilos of laundry.

We are not on the beach but we are close. It would be very hard to find an apartment for $450 unless it was a long distance from town and unfurnished. Thank you for watching.

@@Cozumeleveryday How long have y'all been there? Are pick your own farms easy to find? How much is a gardener or maid per hour? Do many expats buy homes there? Are many homes available for sale? Why did you select Cozmel over other other provinces.

@@angelofamillionyears4599 we have lived on the island for 3 years and have only been in this house since March. Several expats buy homes here on the island and more are build all the time. Hourly minimum wage here is 229 pesos per day. My wife loves everything here in Cozumel and when she decided to move here she brought me with her. 😂

Must have just been one outside. As of now we don't have any pets. A lot of places are pet friendly. Usually it will say so in the add. We have found Facebook market place to be the easiest way to find a place. Thanks for watching and commenting.
