When starting a Hot Shot buisness do you have to have your MCNumber from DOT for 6 months to 1 year for an insurance company to insure you? Or can you get your MC number and then get an insurance company to Insure you right after you get your MC number from DOT? Thanks in advance my brotha.

@hotshotwithme, Consistency and discipline is the keys bro...Love your plan you setup and you followed your plan...I've done semi trucking for 28years owned my own for 27years and sold both my semi trucks bought my new hotshot setup and been doing just fine bro...Ignore the trolling that talks about semi trucking is built around all other trucking...😂 isn't that what life is anyways? Is a cargo 747 jumbo plane any better than a crop duster plane?😂nope, its how you succeed in it(there's some crop duster millionaires out there ,if you know what i mean)long story short, i sold my semi's and saved alot on costs and i make more efficient monies with my hotshot..Keep up with the real and positive videos

right now its getting another new motor (under warranty), but if u have another option, I would not be running a 6.0. if you do, u better know how to fix the common things that can go out like sensors etc

commercial general liability and we have 150k on cargo which will do like 95% of the time but every now and then a really good paying load will ask for about 200-250k on cargo but thats rare

I operate a cargo van, and I do just fine. Don’t believe what everyone when it comes down to bidding for loads because those are the same people under bidding you. Keep your operating costs low, and understand your cost to operate and live. That’s just the truth for any business

6.0= guaranteed heart breaker. If someone is going to gamble on being a hotshot...Ford 1999 7.3. Have to wonder what you took home after all expenses and taxes 2022-2023. Hmmm. That and how the pyramids were built will likely be lost to time.

That isn't saying much. lol More ups than downs from what I have seen in your videos haha.For most, hotshot has been a nightmare. Trucking is built around semi trucks. Most people that have done hotshot...have moved on to a semi. Hope you don't loose your shirt! @@hotshotwithme

u can go a head and apply for it.. u dont have to wait; its just some brokers dont want to work with an authority that hasn't been running for a year or so which sucks, so theres no way around tryna get the mc number first and sitting on it and starting your authority without insurance unfortunately; hope this helps
