No decade comes close. Just an explosion of talent and great songs. Even songs considered "bubble gum" at that time would be masterpieces today. Sad how the standards of songwriting and performance has sunk to gutter level.

I didn't cut mine from HS graduation until college - 10 years later. Since then, it's been longish. But it hasn't been cut since Covid - and I'm happy! If anyone remembers Susan Cowsill, she was in a great band called the Continental Drifters. Worth a listen.

+Marek Poláček - Sounds to me like they took it straight off the 45... I take it you haven't heard many 45s, if any? You're sure not very old.. We oldsters LOVE that sound.. LOTS of great memories :) I was a kid, but the 60s were GREAT times.. Sad what you all missed out on.. Doors left wide open at night, our parents left the keys in the car's ignition so they wouldn't get lost, and NO ONE broke in or stole the cars! It. Was. Amazing. "Crime" was an occasional stolen bike that the parents usually found and someone got their bike back, the other got a butt whooping... Today, these days, it's so sad to see what we have come to.. Sorry, memories got me yakkin'...Yeah, this was definitely taken straight off the 45 record.. no doubt.
@CZghost6 жыл бұрын
+Mary Mclocke - It has been heavily processed through MP3 filter with very low quality settings. It's very heavily compressed, and therefore that is really awful quality. I happen to have some 60's 45s home, and it has much higher quality sound, though it's mono. Even this particular song can be heard in much higher quality from original 1969 45 rip, so don't tell me this is original rip...

The visuals are better than most of the other versions on KZfaq but the sound quality is like they recorded it with a laptop microphone from a record.
