Drag cars are designed to do 2 things. 1. Go fast as hell. 2. Save your ass if you lose it. It did number one until it had to do number 2, and considering you're here to tell the story it definitely did its job.

This was my favorite car on the show. Just for the simple fact it was always the underdog.

Man I remember when they first asked you if you wanted to get Flip’s old Camino running and drive it. I remember y’all pulling out of the shed out behind the shop and the first time you drove it. Well, at least when it was all first shown on tv. Those damn zoomies coming out of the fenders were SOOOOOOOOO LOUD!!!! Man you have fought hard and put tons of sweat, blood, determination and tears into that car, you did everything you could possibly do, but it’s just time to, as you said, close that chapter and focus on the next one. You will prevail going forward because you seem like a guy who has no quit in you and you have a passion for racing. My son and I are behind you 100% man. Just keep on keeping on and just continue to be you and you will be just fine. Can’t wait to see what’s next for KAMIKAZE!!!

I know from my perspective, I can relate to your car because it was flips. He seemed very genuine on the first season of the show. It was great memories to see it ripping again , it was awesome.

I started following the show the season you took over the reigns of the elco. It was such a special episode to watch and an amazing journey to follow. I dont know much of flip but im sure he would've approved of what you've achieved with that car. I loved the way you picked up your balls every time and DROVE that "bucket of bolts" and then get out down the end like it was nothing, #kamikaze. I've talked to you numerous times at races over the years (and worked on r a ce cars for years, etc...) and your a really great dude, SOOO glad you're okay...it may take time, but you'll get everything back together man.. you should set up a Patreon (if you are cool woth doing that kind of thing) if you don't already, I know people would be glad to help and give to it.. You have a huge fan base for being a genuine dude w/ a no bs attitude and great driving skill..Plus people tend to recognize others who are honest with themselves about how things are.. I applaude your efforts! Great video! Truth! Glad you are okay, Kamikaze! I volunteered with a car club to help put on their race weekends. I wanted to race. I figured the best way to learn, was to help out. After about 10 events, I realized that every weekend there would be at least one, and usually several, cars that would be write-offs or so damaged, another chassis was needed. Some guys were hurt, real, real bad. Insurance didn't cover racing injuries, either. I decided I couldn't afford it. This stuff ain't no joke.
