30 body lengths per second is insane. That would be like the average basketball player moving 195 feet a second. The average court 94 feet long, so a Mantis Shrimp in the NBA would be able to run from out of bounds and back in less than a second.

I know, right? When he was talking about the sexnocular vision (which I think is technically supposed to be hexnocular), I immediately said out loud "Dirty" just like ZeFrank 😂 Almost everything covered in this video, I already knew from his video except for the speed of these things. I knew they could be fast, but 30 lengths a second is nuts, even for them

So where do these guys live naturally? Pacific ocean? Are they expensive to purchase as pets?

Mantis shrimps live all around the world but Peacock Mantis Shrimps are native to Indonesia. Not too expensive they are roughly $50-$150 depending where you are and when you buy them. But keeping a saltwater tank is the part that gets expensive.
