Gonna be honest I didn’t research every single day in college basketball history but I think it’s safe to say this will never happen again. Also, keep in mind #8 Villanova, who didn’t play on Saturday, lost to UConn earlier in the week.

This is the most stacked season of college basketball I've ever seen, and I've been a UK fan for 40+ years. It's crazy how so many unranked teams have slain literal giants this season. No one is safe in the tourney this year. Should be a blast!

Yesterday had such a 2007 college football feel to it, and I loved it

All of those upsets happened at the home of the underdog team. Home field familiarity and crowd energy plays a MASSIVE role.

I went into work at my job and noticed on the TV screens that Kentucky and Purdue had lost once I got there. Auburn was about to fall. Then I saw TCU was gonna win. Since I love to see upsets, I was hoping to see Baylor, Colorado, and Saint Mary’s all win. I could not believe my eyes when they all did. It was amazing to see, and I won’t forget it.

And this is why college sports are better.

That chicago state upset was crazy. They were playing at home but they don't have any fans other that their band like seriously I'm not kidding.

I remember when all of the other teams had already lost, Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s had the last game of the night, and everybody knew Saint Mary’s was going to win before the game even started. It was just one of those days

This is one of the few days of sports I will never forget watching. I had just started getting into college basketball, and with nothing to do all day, I had ESPN on my phone going between each game. It was simply insane. No other way to put it

Given how wild this past college football season was too, I’m wondering if that extra year of eligibility leveled the playing field a bit - one and done teams still had turnover, but other teams may be stacked with depth and seniority due to that extra year.

Bud Walton has to be the best home court advantage in the country. Hats off to muss and the new AD. Bud Walton has always been loud, but now it's organized loud.

2 years later and we saw more unranked teams beat top ten teams than ever. It was CRAZY!!

Don't forget SMC and Gonzaga is a rivalry so it's an even bigger win for SMC

It wasn’t one day but this past week was on this level. All but two of the top 11 teams lost. This is why I love college basketball.

In the regular season for sure the wildest day in college basketball history. Of course the tournament & conference tournaments have had some wild days. This has made me excited for march madness

This year we had 8 top 25 teams get upset in back to back days, most of the teams that won were unranked. It is wild when a team pulls it off.

Being a top team means you get everybody’s best effort…alot of let down spots and one thing I love about college basketball almost any team has a shot at beating any other especially with a packed home crowd behind them

What’s even crazier is that on a lot of the ESPN ones, the game listed as “coming up” was another upset game that came up later in the video

As a Miami fan that one hurt. Had a dude white open under the basket. But dude wanted to be the star and lost the game

Really wish the Southeastern Louisiana vs Nicholls State was on ESPN+ so there was footage to add here. Nicholls, tied for the lead of the Southland, and SLU is in 3rd only 1.5 games back, the other team tied for the lead lost their game so this game becomes massive. Nicholls had a 21 point lead at one point, and the SLU Lions storm back in the last 10 minutes to win it off a put back buzzer beater 83-81. Also it was senior night, also these two are each others biggest rivals.

Not quite the same thing, but on Saturday, January 14, 2023, 11 of the top 25 teams lost, tying a record for top 25 losses on one day. Addtionally, two more ranked teams lost the following day, with 13 also tying a record for most top 25 losses on a single weekend.

Bruh I was The Tennessee game. We had some L officers pushing the entire students section back as we tried to rush getting thrown around like a rag doll. Good time though and better win.

This is simply amazing. Great individual play and just wow on the team efforts that those squads had in those stunners. Something totally unique that should never be ruined by greed and only happens because of above all team play. Kind of a short rant here about the differences of the NBA and College play: Speaking of the next step(which is mostly the NBA). Make NBA Team Battles Great Again. Individual player contracted "Gimmicks" do not work at making teams. Nor do they keep those players focused on basketball and the achievements of winning games for a single team. Some players did this, yet it's all about the money in the contracts and whom and where they get to play. If those athletes are looking for ultimate success. Athletes have more pull nowadays in contracts than they did prior to the 1990's. Another point is at the fake drama and lottery based gimmickry that is the "Play-IN" Tournament. If the team is crap anyways. They do not deserve to get a free pass and extra games to cheat the system. That's why it is important as a competition and not entertainment... Keep the old format(make teams win in their conference/division to improve rivalry there). That's what made the NCAA tournament 64 team bracket special. Same for the original 8 + 8 = 16 for Two Conferences in the NBA. It sucks that this is in every single major sport now and from what I remembered it may have started from NASCAR's Playoff gimmicks. The Stock Car racing league hasn't had a normal champion since Matt Kenseth in 2003. I will also point out since 2010 their playoff format has sucked and is part of why I do not watch races nowadays.
