I'm not sure why that would be an unpopular opinion. Most game winners in NBA history, not buzzer beaters game winners there's a difference. More 60 point games than MJ and LBJ combined. Other than Wilt Chamberlain the longest streak of 50-point games with four and 40-point games with nine. The second highest scoring game in NBA history with 81 points. 9 time first team all-defense. 3 time second team all defense. And that his position the shooting guard the most points the most assists and top 3 in rebounds.

I agree, but I would saw that Jordan had a longer streak. From the late 80s until 1998, MJ was unreal. I was a HUGE Bulls fan in the 90's and I was only in elementary school. MY parents would let me stay up late to watch the late games. But Kobe came about when I was old enough to TRULY appreciate what was happening. MJ and Kobe had that same mentality, drive and killer instinct. Something that Lebron and the new guys just don't have.

My Pops taught me a similar strategy in the one on one sport of racquetball that Kobe talked about. Until you stop what I am doing I am going to keep going. So basically if there is a certain serve that the person isn't stopping, you stay on it until the person proves that they can stop it. That strategy led to some blowout 15-2 type games against really good players because it usually broke the person's will. Kobe did that as a scorer to entire teams. Broke their will because all five would get dejected that they couldn't stop him. It got in their heads and affected their confidence in every aspect of their game.

The perspective of knowing what that moment in a middle of the season regular game meant after losing Bynum for the year was incredible. Bynum was playing at an incredible level when he went down. Kobe was like I'm gonna show my teammates that they still have the Mamba who will run through a wall to drop 60 if needed for the win. It's time to go to the Finals. I love that even though Kobe got Pau in February that year, they went straight to the Finals game 6 even after losing Bynum and Pau still being a little too soft.

@@lamontbillingslb Kobe in my opinion was better player than MJ from a scoring and defense standpoint. Kobe never needed to be switched off a player like MJ needed to be switched off Magic in the playoffs. Pippen got that assignment after game 1. Kobe was the ultimate scorer and controlled the power of Will. But Lebron is a better all around basketball player, because of all the duties he’s been tasked with over the years. He’s mostly been the point forward for his teams throughout the years. Kobe like MJ just needed to score and play great defense.

People always throw around killer mentality in conversations but don’t really understand how rare this is. Most, almost all nba players play with the mindset of making the right play. The difference with Kobe and MJ is that they were out there to kill you. It was so much more than just making the right passes. It was about breaking down their opponents. And this is what made these two special. Players hated guarding them because they were at risk being humiliated. That’s why having this mentality is special, because almost 99% of the league don’t have it to this degree.

Forget Kobe’s foot work… do u see his legs. Bro put his whole body into those shots. That’s what I see Kyrie learned most from Kobe

Another banger of a video bro. If you can 🙏 please 8 to 24 days of kobe Bryant. Since 8 and 24 were his original numbers. The amount of material out there on kobe is crazy. He inspired more people with his work ethic than any nba player in history. Im sure you could find video clips of Chinese, Filipino, African, and European players talking about a time kobe came to their country. He was like a God in the Philippines. My friend who is from there wouldn't shut up talking about kobe at work lol.

That would be awesome. As much international fan love as Kobe got in 08 Beijing Olympics, there is definitely a story to be told that nobody has dug up.
