Some common sense for both lawmakers, visitors and locals would be nice but not expected. I was just there and despite large amounts of foot traffic there were tons of people who thought it was ok to take up the entire bridge for selfies. If you stop and move to the side that's fine. If you stop in the middle of the bridge, and make it so nobody can get around you because your group of 15 people need to take a picture there that's another thing. However I doubt those are the people who would be targeted. They'll use it to target the homeless.

@@claytonberg721 I certainly agree about the people who stop in the middle. I had stopped on the sands avenue bridge, but I was right by the edge, watching the sphere. Easy for people to go by. It’s like in grocery stores, where it gets annoying when you have people stopping in the middle of an aisle. I’m sure they’re probably hoping to clear the homeless people off the bridges, but I feel like it’s gonna hurt more people than it helps.

@@Spartan87667 May I clarify? Is it annoying and rude when people stop in the middle of the bridges? Yes. Should it be illegal? No. And yeah, they aren't going to target tourists, they'll go after the homeless who are just off to the side chilling hurting nobody.

@@claytonberg721 I don’t disagree with you on anything. I think the whole thing is dumb. It would be nice to just see some common sense, but legislating it is idiocy. I don’t know how they would even cite the homeless. It’s not like they can pay the fine, if there is one.

@@theone8173 the proposed city ordinance aims at ticketing “those who remain in a stationary position upon Las Vegas pedestrian bridges” Basically saying you get a ticket for simply stopping and tying your shoe on a sidewalk. Completely unconstitutional. And if someone didn’t move they’d be arrested 😭🤣🤣🤣

Fun fact! Durango is a Basque word (Pais Vasco is a region within Spain, and Spain of course was once in control of what is now Nevada, Colorado -where you will find another Durango, and Mexico -where another Durango is located-) which meaning is similar to that of vega!!! (Vega being a Spanish word). Both Durango and Vega have a similar meaning to meadow. So Durango really is a fitting name in Las Vegas, it’s the same thing, although there aren’t any meadows in Las Vegas lol

Reminds me of the Arlo Guthrie song "Alice's Restaurant." They put him in jail for littering, took his belt so he wouldn't kill himself, took the tp so he couldn't bend the bars roll the tp and slide down it to escape. The rapers and father stabbers asked him what he was in for, he said littering, and they all moved away. Then the war board asked him if he was moral enough to kill people and rehabilitated after being jailed for littering.

I may be wrong, but I don't think ordinance has to do with F1 as much as getting the bums off the bridges. Just be lucky they haven't suggested toll booths at the entrance of each broken escalator....

Correction: Durango Hotel Casino isn't called Durango Station. Station Casinos is the old corporate name, but since listing it's stock, the corporate name is now Red Rock Resorts, LLC. Only the older hotels have the Stations name still attached like Palace Station, Boulder Station, Sunset Station. Newer properties like Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock Resort, Durango don't have the stations name included.

My gf and I decided to do a short trip to Vegas next month, and came across your channel of a lot of fun things to do and avoid. She hasn't been to Vegas since when she was a kid, and I went in January 2020, right before everything went to shit. I, of course, made some mistakes on your lists, but came back fine. Hell, was able to sit at a blackjack table at the Linq (probably shitty spot for odds) and I played cards for 6 hours, and only ended up down about $20 (including tips for every whiskey & Coke I had). Not bad. I did have a question though, about the Mirage Volcano. Good chances it'll still be going next month, January 2024? Thinking it would be fun to see that iconic show, one last time before it goes away forever. We have already done some of your suggestions, we've booked a reservation at Hell's Kitchen ahead of time, to make sure we have at least one nice restaurant setup ahead of time (thank you for that tip in a previous video!) and we're probably going to book a show on a different day, just to make sure we have two set activities (one show and one dinner) and flexible on everything else. I learned in NYC last year, at Times Square, when you're walking through crowded huge tourist areas, keep your hands back, don't be in a position for someone to hand you something, then insist you pay them for said item. Had so many try to offer me CDs, I would see them do that to others, after I didn't, then say, "hey, that CD is worth $20! You took it, you have to pay me for it!" Hands in pocket, or behind my back, and don't accept anything.

Just came back from Vegas. First time in 25 years! Barely recognized the strip. I know know don’t talk about it but there’s great tours to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam and much more from Las Vegas.

The Insanity ride on top of the Strat is also closed. (the green one that looked like a claw machine claw) I had no idea until we were staying at The Sahara last weekend with a perfect view of the Strat. I noticed it was gone and looked it up, they quietly closed it earlier this year. I did see the Big Shot operating, but I'll be sad to see it go. Makes me wonder if XScream is going too? I hope they put some new rides up there!

I bought here in 2012...my house has quadrupled in price and there is no mortgage. I mean , im not going to sell anytime soon, bit its a prime location in summerlin. It was an excellent purchase.
