In 1920, Harry Winston started his high jewelry business and opened his first store in New York City in 1932. In 1947, "Cosmopolitan" magazine dubbed Harry Winston with a moniker that would follow him throughout his career: "King of Diamonds."
Perhaps this is due to the dozens of historical gemstones that passed through his hands, or that he was most certainly the purveyor of the world’s most exceptional high jewelry. Regardless of which, Winston was crowned king and his vast portfolio of discerning clientele agreed. In this video, we explore some incredible pieces of high jewelry from Harry Winston as well as history-rich gemstones.

Unfortunately, the vocals sound like either a faulty mechanical voice or a human talking underwater. Simply too annoying for me to finish watching what would otherwise be a fascinating video. Harry Winston still creates the most beautiful jewelry.

U r giving an incomplete history of the world famoys dimonds to say the least. Hope dimond was stolen by the colonizers from india, like kohinoor dimond. Most gems and jewelry in europe and usa are stolen from gormal colonies
