@@HuynherC98 Um nah, Ilia already closed that book and v5 even had a potential alternate floated for her in the bunny girl she saves during the attack on Haven. On top of that Ilia was paralleled to Sun, so likely to be the equivalent to his brotp. For her to have the kind of scene you're describing would not be a setback for Ilia's character to even before her proper introduction in v4; but just doesn't fit with her character. She isn't Adam and its expressly stated that she isn't. She's made peace with the reality that Blake and her missed any chance they might've had. Anything else it just chasing melodrama when there's much bigger things happening.

Yeah Sun was there for Blake. Even with all the crap he gets he was the one who helped her to open up and see a different perspective IMO. He is a good friend, despite his shenanigans.

There's no way in hell they "rescued" everyone because it took place over the span of two days or so - it would take several WEEKS to evacuate a city the size of Atlas. Furthermore, the people they "rescued" went to Vacuo... a place with limited FOOD, forget about Dust, and whose people explicitly HATE Atlesians (which would sow discord and confusion, anger and discontent, which Grimm feed on). They also destroyed the backbone of the Military, the ONLY group that has the muscle to hold off Salem. AND Salem got two Relics. Meaning that Vacuo is DOOMED, along with everyone Team RWBY "rescued". But no, Ironwood is the big bad guy, right?

There's a difference between being homophobic and heteronormative. Just because you didn't see where it was going from the start doesn't mean it wasn't there. Well Monty did says that "we might already be following gay characters" as far back as volume 2 in an interview so no, no it wasn't. People still pretend RWBY is just improvised even though they've said that they have key plotlines planned out. Some people are actually pretending that all the foreshadowing is just coincidences omg. Nope, this was planned. Monty hinted at this since the beginning.

Um no Weiss/Yang = princess syndrome not to mention no common ground or emotional bonding. Weiss/Blake = not only is complicated cause Weiss is the daughter of the racist company that mistreats the faunus and Blake is not only a said faunus but one that attacked said company's places. But also there's only a single bit of any bonding between the two and Weiss does nothing towards Blake's character. Blake is the supportive, left (to protect Yang) and returned, puts the spotlight & focus on Yang, and able to let Yang be vulnerable to be healthy that Yang needs. Yang is everything Adam pretended to be, brightens & makes Blake laugh, listens to/understands/and compromises with Blake, strengthens Blake, returns Blake's original self the flirty cheery person she is (confirmed by the v4-5 canon comics that showed her as that in her pre-Adam's abuse time), and pulls Blake's attention all the time that fits with Blake. So no neither of those pairs would be better except to shippers for them.
