Jesus said, “Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man?” (Matthew 12:29). The strong man is an evil spirit that plunders a person’s peace, joy, finances, and health. We must bind the strong man in order to get freedom from him. The strongman is a demon, a stronghold is a house of thoughts. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,” (2 Corinthians 10:4). Our weapons are powerful for binding the strongman and for breaking down strongholds.
