a LOT shown in the setup. holy SHOTTY TO THE DOME (we can show that in trailers now?!? or was this Red band?) Yes, very posh, I was thinking "eyes wide shut motif". Then I was thinking what you said 2 secs before you said it looks, "very John Wick-esque". Looks better than I expected. it looks like the movie is made for this era the way The Crow(94) fit it's era very well.

The Brandon Lee Crow was Wick before Wick lol just reference the battle at the club. People need to stop comparing this to 94 and let it stand alone against the source material. No one thought there would be another Joker after Nicholson... Leto failed.. but Phoenix and Ledger put there own stamps on it. Im giving this one a shot

Come to think of it. Chad Stahelski should have directed it then. Since he was Lee's body double in the original Before he was the Director of John Wick.

This is going to be badass. I just know it. People need to remember its not trying to be better than the original. It is its own thing... rarely is a remake better than the original. But this looks dope

@@Luna_TheDivine I know right.. everyone is tripping about how he looks. I guess I should have saw that coming. Most people are superficial robots anyways.. It certainly can't be worse than the 3 sequels the original had. In my opinion this is going to be really good... Bill Skarsgard is awesome.. and if you remember everyone said he would suck at being pennywise too. Guess they were wrong about that one too.. the remake of ( IT) was a box office hit..

I think because of such a huge cult following which I can understand, I love the original myself too and Brandon lee, but yes definitely shouldn't underestimate him as an actor. @@ghostme1635

@@ghostme1635Bill Skarsgård may be awesome, but if the trailer is any indication, he doesn’t have much to work with. The dialogues seems to have been written by a middle schooler. I’m trying to figure out what people think looks dope about this. It’s incredibly bland.

All I can say is …people were skeptical about bill skarsgard playing pennywise and he did a great job with that character… I have no doubt he will knock this out of the park. I like the different take on it , I’m glad they chose to take some chances instead of copy and paste Brandon Lee because that wouldn’t work…and as far as him looking like Leto joker , there is a crow comic: (the crow wild justice) where he looks like this with all the tattoos

thank you !!! the amount i have seen where people talk like they have already seen the film just irks my tits bill is a solid actor , it has good talent behind it jesus christ just go back to heath ledger as the joker everyone was pissed about that but then the film comes out and he smashes it out of the park

It's not that. The character from wild Justice is Michael Korby, not Eric Draven. That's the biggest gripe. Why use his name? Any other name and the problems would go away.

Who was sceptical about him playing Pennywise? And that was villain. This is a hero. And it’s not on his shoulders. The director has a dreadful track record. He’s not pulling from the comics. He’s making a John Wick film with an immortal protagonist longing for a woman instead of a dog. The original comic is a wealth of source material soaked in tragedy and style. This has none of that.

The trash SoundCloud look is not it, anything but this beloved character being portrayed by a stereotypical, cringe, and weak aesthetic. The whole modern junkie look, over wholesome normal, peaceful and loving characters before their death, yeah it’s catering in a wrong way. Although the demographic is cringe, let’s hope the team and studio behind this film will learn their lesson on the constructive criticism and disrespect they want to cash grab on.

I love the original, Brandon Lee's character will always be his but I'm willing to watch it and make my judgement if its good its good if its bad then I dont have to watch it after that

The scene where the bad guys kill Shelly and Eric on the trailer isn't brutal at all. They just get suffocated. In the original, Shelly gets r@ped, stabbed, and beaten within an inch of her life and Eric gets beaten, stabbed, shot, then thrown out the window. Then Shelly had to live in massive pain in the hospital for the next 30 hours before she died. Being that this movie is so much more gritty overall, I'm kinda surprised that they were so tame with the deaths of the main characters.

True that the original deaths were "brutal", this in its own way is brutal mentally. Imagine being suffocated while seeing the love your life suffocated in front of you and knowing there's nothing that you can do about it. Seems pretty damn brutal to me! Who knows if there's anything else that happens to them, we'll just have to wait and see when the movie comes out.

Yeah, I've seen 3? 4? Crow movies that were basically the same even tho Eric was only used in one so I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what they do. Plz for the love of god don't let it be woke.

I will watch but bill is in trouble because he can't follow-up Brandon Lee that guy had so much charisma and talent...he was definitely his father's child...no one will ever get a fair shake at playing eric draven...I will watch it ..I'm interested to see how it turns out...they also showed to much in the 1st trailer...he doesn't look cool enough...everybody was dressing up like the crow after the original I can see anyone copying this look either...I'm definitely going to see it and give it a chance but I'm going in with minimal expectations

John WIck is more like the Crow than the Crow is like Wick. Facts. The Top Dollar scenes in The Crow is where that style was born. Even the punisher stuff was born partly out of the Crow franchise. SO this using those elements isnt Wick like or Punisher like. Its Crow like. Its working within its own franchise. I would rather see this than the pure trash that Salvation and Wicked Prayer were. Ill spend my money helping this franchise grow again instead of fanboying out over the first and acting like the sequels were successes when they were not. This could be the film to get the train moving again. And it looks damn good to me. I love the Ozzy and Post Malone track in this. It fits it. This body bags the previous crap in just under three minutes. Its worth a theater visit!!

I would argue that The Crow actually took its action beats from the old school John Woo movies like Hard Boiled. So if anything, those movies helped shape how American actions movies would evolve into the future.

I'd likely have given this movie a chance eventually if it was just another Crow sequel. But the fact that they made it a remake of the original was such a stupid idea and then they make so many big changes to the characters and aesthetics... nah, I'm skipping this one. Just give Bill and Twigs different names and make this another sequel and I'd watch it at some point just out of curiosity. People begged them for many years to leave the original alone, but as per usual they give the people the middle finger.

This trailer was just disturbing. There's way too much explicit blood and sex in it. The first film with Brandon Lee kept both aspects to a minimum, and still managed to tell a heartfelt, compelling story. Are the people behind this new film so desensitized themselves, that they think audiences are the same way? I highly doubt I'll be seeing this one - I skipped "Wicked Prayer" because I heard it was basically The Crow vs. Satan.

LOL! The violence was the only thing I actually liked about the trailer. If they made the original with an unrated cut where it showed more gore, I'd like it even more. But otherwise, this trailer definitely didn't do it for me. The aesthetic they went with for Eric and the overall movie with the lighting and everything just didn't feel anything like The Crow. I didn't recognize a single person aside from Scarsgard which means they likely had a pretty small budget.

I’m inclined to agree about the sex part for certain. In the 94 version you got the sense they were actually romantically in love. In this one they are a pair of horny teenagers having a weekend without their parents at the house. The violence I can take or leave, I prefer the poetic way Eric kills the gang in the 94 version with their vices or preferences, rather than the gun-fu we seem to get with the trailer. (Tintin with his knives, Fun Boy OD, T-Bird burning/exploding, Skank being thrown out a window like he did Eric)

I'm not blaming the actors, because they're just doing what was giving to them in the script but the plain and simple fact is this movie should have never been touched, the trailer looks absolutely horrible, the look that they went for the crow in this movie is absolutely horrible they should have just went ahead and hired Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox to play Eric and Shelly, if they wanted to honor the original one on the 30th anniversary of its release then just put it back in theaters I would have loved to have seen it on the big screen again instead of this hot trash

@@LowkeyGeekthat's what he said. I wouldn't say anything either, if Bill Skarsgard were doing "his own thing." But he isn't. This is a literally remake and they marketed the movie as such. The characters name is Eric Draven. Nobody asked for this, we didn't need it. This movie is a mockery to cinema and a stain on Brandon Lee's name. J O'Barr the original director/creator of The Crow publicly announced his dislike and misuse of his material. You can like it all you want, I choose to have some taste.

⁠⁠@@V0ltronyour talking out your ass, first of all James O’Barr never had any creative say during the first Crow movie and he said he would of liked to have made it his way and he definitely was not the director. He mentions in interviews wanting to be more involved in the new crow movies, As well as stating that past few movies have been getting repetitous. So wouldn’t it be good for a fresh remake. Plus this is for the newer generation just like how Brandon lees one was for the old generation.
