i remember i was 15 and i ran into the kitchen while my mom was cooking supper yelling about how c9 was the first NA team to win a major in cs history and she's like wtf are u even saying. it was definitely an awesome thing to experience and watch live

Kato 2019 is such an underrated major. I think it is just proof that judging a whole tournament based on just the finals is dumb. The games leading up were great. The storylines for both ENCE and Astralis were fantastic, the stadium and the production were amazing, the speech is the most memorable major speech we've ever had and Pasha's trophy delivery is still amazing.

pasha actually said that after the final was over, they asked gla1ve how Astralis managed to come back on the T side of Train and gla1ve told them that it was so loud in the stage that they were just rushing because they couldn't really hear much

When I saw faze win Antwerp i saw the way karrigan drop to the floor almost to say "finally i can rest in peace" and i felt that. From being benched by top teams to be forced to rebrand teams or build them from the ground up and finally having it pan out 4 years after his first major grand final was a moment of serenity for everyone who's been following him frombthe start.

Stockholm was mid, way too predictable. Paris was best major IMO; even though the grand finals sucked, I don't think a single other matchup went as predicted by analysts. Atlanta was best grand finals though

Berlin 2019 is being slept on That crazy group-stage where no one though that NRG was gona get 3-0, and they did And That one crazy side de off the bracket(Navi-Nrg/Liquid-Astralis(btw that vertigo move ads points to the story)) and we even got JAMETIME in the final

I think you went easy on Krakow tbh. The underwhelming final was one thing but I remember a certain BIG jump bug absolutely sullying a huge chunk of the event too. I think the observing wasn't great either (but I could be mixing that last one up)

Eleague 2017 and 2018 had really good storylines and production. Both finals were blessed by massive comebacks, 7-13 for Astralis and 11-15 for Cloud9, NA crowds reamain goated.

I was really amazed at the crowd at IEM Dallas 2023. That was actually an insane crowd and I was feeling the energy all the way on the other side of the planet.

Kato15 is underrated. Crazy intense last map in the final. Just doesnt have the story book ending and ended up being remembered as the "villains" of fnatic winning again over nip.

Whoah now, Krakow is one of, if not, my favorite major, I've watched that three or four times now. BIG having a great run, KNGs immortals, Dosia rolling it back? Excellent. BIG vs Immortals on cobblestone is one of my favorite maps of all time, nade stacks, knife kills, revenge knife kills. Beautiful. Maybe not the best for T1 fans, but for someone that watches probably more lower tier CS than top tier I loooove this event.

For me 2019 Kato was the greatest for me as a Fin. Whole country was suddenly interested in CS and it was just wonderfull seeing their whole journey and starting the small and short lived ENCE era. Although the final was just so sad.

As a person from CIS, I love PGL Krakow. Gambit was very dysfunctional online and were about to disband. And here they are, going through the groups 3-0 against mouz, G2 and VP, and having to beat Fnatic in quarters and Astralis in semis. Felt like they deserved the Grand Final against Immortals.

Boston is the best major and ELEAGUE the best organizer ever but it would be even better IMO if Faze won, Guardian and NiKo also at the time karrigan and rain getting their first major and olof his 3rd You can't tell me its better that a match fixer won is better than Guardian and Niko

I’m Canadian and the only major final I didn’t get to watch was Boston because I was out of country and didn’t even find out they won until literally 3 weeks later 💔

I feel like the last truly great major, an A or above, was Boston. Though I could be biased because I am from NA and it was the first major I have ever watched live. Almost all of the finals have been 2-0 with three of those being a complete blowout. It is not fun to watch a major when the final isn't close.

TheWarOwl actually made a specific video just for that. He boldly titled it, “The Greatest Counter Play in the History of Counter-Strike” The main reason being that Liquid had a 100% win rate on Vertigo, followed by Astralis purposely picking it during the map pick/ban phase. Team Liquid was confused, the casters were shocked, the crowd was amazed. And then Astralis won 2-0.

My Favourite series of CounterStrike ever was that Astralis vs Gambit semi in Krakow. Especially considering this was an Astralis that had systematically removed SK’s permission to play the game the day prior. Gambit also coming off of an Upset over Fnatic as well. And then there’s the Series itself. My all time favourite. Id also Argue that Krakow was a relief Major for Zeus as well as he had lost both of his CSGO grand final affairs in a One sided manner. The Katowice 2018 Final is my second favourite series, simply because Flusha does the impossible like 3 separate times. Favourite player ever.

Boston is one of my fav league. I dont remember much of what happen back then. I'm not even NA but watching it live, the match is so dang close. I would say the vibe and situation lead me to hypest league I have ever watch. Before I leave CS. Just got come back lately when Blast about to end and... yea :/ not a really hype league for me.

I always thought older tournaments sounded better, yeah the sound of the casting is of technically lesser quality but now even in playoff matches in arenas it sounds like a studio match

In my opinion Blast Major was one of the worst major i have ever experienced, the games were not even interesting in champions stage. Every tier 1 team except vitality underperformed and the final was one of the worst matches I’ve ever watched

worst match in terms of not being particularly close? Eh was always gonna happen when all but one tier 1 team completely shit the bed. But far far from a terrible match. But the games were absolutely interesting unless you only care about faze g2 or navi.

I watched the cloud 9 major final at a giant 30 person family get together dinner at Carrabba's . my mom kept saying put that thing away its disrespectful--to me cupping my phone 2 inches away from my eyes. "YOU DONT UNDERSTAND C9 IS IN OVERTIME FOR THE GRAND FKIN FINAL" when they won I went outside for a bit and fist pumped in the rain ill never forget that major

For me the guardian one stings, its like if Messi dropped 3 goals a game during the world cup on a broken leg but still lost because their team. Guardian was a legend having their best performance on the biggest stage but denied time and time again.

Krakow being put that low is a tragedy. Zeus' only major, he had to dick down Astralis on Train and Inferno and eliminate them to get there, not to mention AdreN at the time was probably the best rifler in the world. Toxic Coach Lau.

Eleague 2017 is also my favorite, even though Virtus Pro lose :( also Krakow Zeus story is in my heart, his bet with Olof, so much fun(they made bet Zeus and Olof, if either one of them win, that winner have to say he loves the other guy, that's why Zeus in winning interview started with ''I want to say Olofmeister I love you'' :D) and I really loved Paris, Stockholm and Cluj(I was so sad G2 lost against Envy, that inferno is still in my mind one of best matches ever) also Boston 2018 I remember how heartbroken I was that Faze lost, but it's better story that hometown boys C9 won¨ Also I wish we had more MLG tournaments :/ and I'm so fucking hyped for FIRST CS2 MAJOR, gonna be legendary

Its sad to not being able to put Rio at S tier. Its the first time that I traveled outside my state and got to attend a major but the ticket selling service was so ass that a lot of the tickets sold probably were to bots and a lot of fans gave up going after the initial sale fiasco. It was amazing watch Furia knock out Navi but yeah, happy for Jame but that finals aint it
