I'd rather that Kenworth truck be a *_1989_** - **_1994_** year model W900B/L* with a *_four-stroke_** turbo-diesel engine* (even if it *_is_* a *straight-6)* under the hood.

Convoy made the Mack RS famous, Smokey and the Bandit made the W9A famous and Black Dog made the Pete 379 famous. These trucks were well known just seeing big name actors driving these trucks and the trucks being in “cool” movies made them 100x more appealing and a must have.

I'm an actual truck driver and have been for several years now. I also love very in depth sim games. Love Ats and Ets2. Fantastic games. But part of me wishes they would take it all the way where you have to go through your ELD (electronic logging device), working within the actual DOT log rules, fueling at a large truckstop and actually climbing in and out of the truck to fuel. Basically all the stuff truck drivers go through on a daily basis. If you want to simulate it, might as well go all the way. Lol. Love watching you jeff keep at it!!

Great video and good looking truck, was perfect as a lunch video today! Your ATS videos are always top of my list of YT stuff to watch, you have a great mix of talking about the sim (which I appreciate you do) and other stuff :) Loving Wyoming myself, lot of stuff to explore and great attention to details. Lot of the connection roads to other states are great too, such as the two from Colorado and the long one that goes between Wyoming, Idaho and Utah! Can see why ATS and flight sim people are often the same, as I'm into MSFS myself.

What a beautiful truck. If you drive in Cheyenne to the railroad’s depot, you can see a big steamtrain called “The Big Boy”. And as last drive towards the industrial area and you see flames on top of the pipes from the fuel factory.

I have steering wheel/pedals/shifter, and button box on my tablet, now idk if you can share some settings or make a video to show ur In game settings to make the steering wheel realistic for force feedback! Btw ur videos are cool! Love it all

Those two stroke detroits liked being in the higher RPM and were the least efficient way to turn fuel and air into noise. I am looking forward to multiplayer with mods, that way I can be cool and drive a Super Liner while everyone else is in a Pete or KW.

I'd rather stick to a *_four-stroke_** turbo-diesel engine* (even if it *_is_* a *straight-6)* in a semi truck than an outdated, fuel-guzzling and unreliable _two-stroke._

@@josecarrilloii4036 You can't get a two stroke anymore, they couldn't pass emissions and if they weren't tuned right they would over fuel, runaway and catastrophically fail.

I have 1970 Kenworth with a Detroit Diesel that I have had for 43 years. We have been everywhere together and still working every day. And my Detroit engine has been very reliable for my operation.

A new American Truck Simulator mod dropped that I think you should check out. It’s a Freightliner Cascadia NRC Motorhome. It’s on the Steam Workshop. It’s on a site as well, but I don’t know which one. Maybe you should go on a super scenic route with it. EDIT: Thanks for the heart Jeff!

That’s not the only truck with a really quiet Jake brake, I’ve had that small issue with the Freightliner Cascadia as well when playing ATS in its pure un-modded form

I had no idea who the bands were, I had to look them up. Shinedown does a decent "Simple Man" cover, most of their stuff is not stuff I would listen to for fun. Anyways, at least you are truck driving.

I have a dumb question. I’m thinking of getting the new Thrustmaster wheel but not a shifter. So, one of things I’m curious about, if I just use my keyboard to put my truck into reverse, will I back up when using the pedals or will it still want to go forward? If that makes any sense.
