1. Imagine empty, white hallway. Now imagine a cube (can be any color). Is it big or small? Is it on the ground or floating? Are you viewing it on its flat side or an edge or corner? Transparent or solid? What color? MEANING: cube is self-image. Small cubes are insecure. Big cubes = good self-image. On ground = practical people; floating cube = creative. Corner view = visionary. See-through = easy to decode. Solid = harder to decode. White = openness; reflective. 2. Now imagine a ladder. Where is it? How high is it? How difficult to climb it? MEANING: Ladder = ambition. High = high ambition. Most people imagine ladder against cube, indicating connection of career to self-image. 3. Imagine some flowers-few or a lot? Where? All one kind or different? Describe them. When you see them, what's your first thought? MEANING: (skipped, but apparently means family/friends. Many vs few; proximity to cube = how close you are to them socially) 4. Now imagine a horse. Where is it? What's it doing? Describe the horse in three words. MEANING: horse = ideal man. 5. Now imagine a storm in the picture. Is it violent or gentle? MEANING: problems in life and how they affect you. - can also have the person imagine weather; sun (carefree), fog (uncertainty), storms (stress)

ANSWER: The flowers are her friends - it's SOO accurate! She will say she has many flowers. I ask where are they around? She might say around the horse, or around her cube or everywhere. Then I find out if they are multicolored or not. If they are multicolored - she has many different types of friends, etc. If they are the same - her friends tend to be similar. If they are around the ladder for example - she knows them through work. If they are everywhere, she knows them from all over. See? :)

I found out about this routine almost 12 years ago (2009) when I first read “the game.” At the time, and the years following, I practiced it over and over again. I would practice on dates. Female friends. Even my guy friends. Everyone who was willing to let me, really. And each time I ran through the routine, I would get better at it and even start to include my own personal gimmicks and banter within the routine. I’ve learned so much from this. I remember on one date, a woman called me out for saying things that sounded like vague generalizations. This is when I knew that 1) She was smart, and not like the other girls I ran this routine on who were continually looking for meaning in said vague generalizations 2) I needed to improve my cold reading skills. This forced me to become more detailed in my observations and analysis of people in general. But also, in general, when I ran “The Cube,” more often than not people would find it interesting and I would learn more tiny details about who they are - because they would tell me about themselves to emphasize on their cube, ladder, flowers, horse, and storm. The most interesting thing that happened, was I had a female friend and a male friend, on two separate deliveries of the routine, talk about how their horse was eating their flowers. Digging deeper, I found that these people had a previous lover who had cheated on them with their friends. Personally, I haven’t used this routine in about 6 years. It’s not completely necessary, as it’s more of a fun parlor trick - and not every woman is into it or finds it interesting. Nor do you need to use it every single set to get laid. But it does hold a lot of great memories for me and it’s excellent for practicing cold reading skills, metaphorical analysis of a person’s personality, and storytelling. It encourages people to open up about themselves and tell you about who they are, even if your delivery is not 100% accurate. The cube is a powerful tool that creates many avenues of conversation and comfort building if you know how to use it. Now, in 2021, I can just cold read people on the spot and dig into their personality naturally without the use of “The Cube.” At the end of the day, it’s all just a fun game.

Well Said ! Dude u seem have OUT GROW NEIL STRAUS. I dont think he would ever get to your level. When we younger n feel in adequate, n we easily being made to believe something some would make us better if --everyone else has claimed worked for them. In face the only ppl can make us BETTER is US. NOT some cookie cutter formula made by ugly ass bald asshole claims he can get 3000 woman. Men dont understand that they can get 3000 10000 women in their life time but failed to be able to Impress one that they really want. The only thing they Might be lacking is soul and good Genuine heart. Being genuine, n get to know someone, Willing to accept “fail” is The BIGGEST STRENGTH a dude can have because that shows bravery. Me n all my hot friends are married now, each of us went thru years being poached by boys n men non stop, n still happens. But women will not change by the game or lack of. Also attractive ppl with GOOD kind father growing up,,they will see Silly Game as shady Small minded sick game. We can smell from far away. LOTs silly young dudes that want Skip the growing , think Cheat the mating game can make them lucky. The hottest guys we have met in our parties days,,,he can have 15 ppl rotating at any time….but every time he fell for someone, he got rejected. He got depressed n go back to his corporate hot dude rotation. Cuz in their head that women are shallow n women want them. Lol…the dude looks like Chris Evans makes $150 K , 6’0 n actually messed with my roommate. Girls come up to him daily during lunch breaks near Cityhall in Toronto. He played the CUBE game on me one time….n lol..its commical. Smart women will snif weird vibe from million miles away. Men will never see her or grow to appreciate her, cuz he is constantly analyzing her vs see who she is. Or trying to impress by being his true self. Neil Strauss has pass his prime, he has NO game now.

I remember reading about this in a book called Fuccfiles (Great book, even if you're a Pickup veteran, its genuinely entertaining) and I was always interested in the basic premise of it. Never knew it was a Neil Strauss technique.

I've done book research cross-reference checks on Neil Strauss's works. One of the first things I researched was a statement he made within "The Game": "Everyone's favorite subject is themselves". This statement is a reworded statement that dates back to a book dated from 1894, titled: "Hill's Educator And Library Of Reference". On page 476 of that book you will find the statement: "People take more interest in their own affairs than in anything else which you can name." Also on page 476, you will find the statement: "The great secret of talking well is to adapt your conversation to your company or skillfully as may be."

If you read The Game to the end, you realize it's a cautionary tale. I mean, it's marketed as a literal Bible with the black faux leather and gold page edges. But past all the tricks and techniques, there's a story about finding yourself. Spoiler: Mystery s dumped by the one girl that has his number. He spirals, attempting suicide because despite all his magic tricks, swagger and conquest, he isn't accepting of himself. Guys (and girls) you need to find your limits, accept who you are, then start improving yourself. Partners and friends will then add to an already complete life. And you'll have plenty of them, because you'll be giving to those relationships, not needing them to survive. The Game is your relationship with yourself. If you master yourself, partners will be drawn to you. None of the tricks matter.

I haven’t read it. I agree with you. I came here because I was curious; it seems Neil partially just asks girls about themselves. Which, if it’s genuine, is a great way to build connection and comfort with girls anyway. Having grown up with sisters I strongly dislike faking and pushing girls away or whatever those techniques are. But yes, happiness is inward. If you want to build strong connections, genuine interest in your partner is a good thing. If his techniques help guys communicate that’s a good thing. Girls and happiness are not “gamesmanship”

i did this a long time ago on a girlfriend of one of my friends after reading about it in the Game, he was present and not as a pickup thing but just a fun game. She was completely astonished about what I told here afterwards, she thought i was some kind of wizard or psychic mind reader. And no could have but didn't go PUA. My friend asked me to do it to him and guess what years later we are no longer friends because it confirmed he was the douchebag i always thought he was.

I used to hate tests like this so I’d actively make the picture more obscure. I’d say the cube was on the ceiling, facing a corner, and the ladder was hanging from the cube, impossibly high to climb. The flowers were dirty and smashed between the cube and the ceiling. The horse was upside down, dead under the ladder. The storm was actually on the floor and it would be raining upwards. I fucking hate these tests. This one chick in high school tried this on me and I gave her the hardest time. I’d actively try to obscure the test as much as possible. Maybe I’m fucked t up

I think anything we come up with ties to emotional truth... but the context is what these "readings" miss. You could be internalizing truth around something you just witnessed that day or something you've "always wanted" or whatever. So by the moment it shows maybe an accurate assessment of what this person seemingly cares about, but it's only freaking seemingly.

If this ever works, it has nothing to do with the test itself, but the very fact of being playful: the difficult part of hooking someone is exactly getting access to them. In other words, if someone'd allow you to make so many questions, you're already there, you just have not to mess all up and keep the phatic channel (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phatic_expression) on -- this is what these "games" do. I am much more curious about how to get in touch with BS than how he got her phone number.

That's such a big lie people tell on the internet, that you need hobbies and activities. All you need is to be attractive (personality, charisma, confidence in talking to women) and to be financially independent, that's it. Stop with the hobbies bullshit, that doesn't maintain relationships, that attracts people, at best, but doesn't maintain nothing. Also, routines and memorized lines help to get going for the beginner. Once you get used to interacting with women, you actually come up with your own "techniques" which are made by your own personality.

Looks, money and status are the most important things. Hobbies, not so much. Interesting conversation, preferably that relates to her, especially when first meeting, is eay more important than your hobby which she probably doesn't even care about. This is where routines come into play. After sex, going into a relationship, you don't need to do so much to maintain her interest, since she gets stronger attachment after sex. Then all you need to do is be normal and not screw up, and keep her satisfied sexually.

Part of the Game, I believe, has always been and will always be to create your own material. These guys left you the material they developed so you can use it, yes, but also for you to get an idea of what stuff works, when it works, where it works, with whom it works and why it works. Your job has always been square 1: develop your own techniques based on general principles.

Great trick, one thing I noticed though was that you used "um" and fillers such as 'like' quite a bit, if you were able to use pauses instead you you be able to make something great even better! There are a few tricks to help with this, but given that you seem to be making videos of yourself you may want to go through your videos looking specifically for ums, ahs and other fillers.

@@gabeguzman9478 I'd start off with a routine breaker like the ones Neil exposed. Something fun, to break off the girl's defenses and make her feel comfy. Then we'd probably talk about her interest, have the Convo surround her (without praising her, that is), and then number close. If you're really slick maybe go for a kiss close, but I've only succeeded once and I'm a 5/10 at best when it comes to looks, so be wary of your own limits and know when to actually push them

I think it will always depend on the target. Someone full of themselves who loves to speak about themselves will surely fall for stuff like this progresivelly. Someone whose self image is shattered or who is an intellectual won't fall for this stuff by any chance, and will probably call bs on it asap.
