Selfishness is part of our basic human nature. It is the default position for every human being. Left unchecked, everybody would focus on himself and live only to please himself. But redemption brings with it a different lifestyle-one that is focused on others, patient with faults, and motivated by a sense of unity in the church. Let’s consider a fourfold strategy to counteract selfishness and promote harmonious living.
This teaching is from our series Heart & Soul: A Study through Romans with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

I was born into a Christian family and we were always taught to say every one else first, and self last, out of respect for the other person.....Mum used to remind us by saying, "Me and my dog" in other words, all people are mentioned first, but not animals, today's people all say themselves first, showing no respect for the other person, typical "I" disease God bless you for this great lesson!

There are 7 "thumbs down" votes for this sermon. If you are going to do so, than you ought to at least have the integrity to comment and explain why you didn't like the sermon...now all I can assume is that the sermon hit close to your reality. Selfishness!

That’s something a troll cannot do. There’s no integrity in a troll. What bothers the average troll is a message like this one. Of course a troll has a problem with this.
