We were blessed in the summer of '85. Running Up That Hill and Road To Nowhere came out within a few weeks of In-between Days. Now we'd wait years for three songs of comparable quality to be released.

One day, I was with my girlfriend in the park here in my neighborhood, sitting under a tree listening to this song and talking about something funny that I don't remember now, but I remember I was feeling comfortable and happy to be there with her, unfortunately, I lost her to leukemia three years ago, but whenever I hear that song, I go back to the moment when I was sitting in the park with her and I feel happy and comfortable again. Baby.. wherever you are, I know you are in a better place in peace waiting for me, someday I will be there with you.

We loved the 80s as a era in general, we loved the music, movies and we loved The Cure. We went to one of their concerts, in a nose bleed seats, but still a great concert to be at, met a lot of great people and danced, danced to this amazing music every chance we got and we did it quiet a lot. We visited local new wave club every Thursday and Sunday, and we had fun doing all that. We built a lot of amazing memories and still brings back those incredible memories every time we hear the music. I just turned 57 and still enjoy it just as much as I have back then.

I got lawn seat tickets for my friend & me, but I worked at the venue for years. We'll get upgraded to much better seats. Can't wait! And Robert Smith kept the prices reasonable with minimal service fees. Only $12 for 2 $35 dollar tickets altogether. :D

One of the few bands whose songs have stood the test of time, as the top commenter notes. It’s wild to think of someone discovering the musical genius of Robert Smith & The Cure today, but I love it! ❤️🤗🤗❤️

In 1999, I remember my mother when she was sitting in her bed reading some magazines, one day in the afternoon. I was accompanying her and this song began to play on TV. I was going through emotional pain and listening to this song reminds me that day with my mom. My mother is alive happyly and I'm always in communication with her. I'm fan of "The Cure" since I was 8 years old. Thanks, The Cure... thanks, mom for all your help!

I discovered The Cure last year when I moved from my small hometown to an area that has college radio. I heard Lovesong in the car and was immediately hooked on them. I feel like I was so close to discovering them all my life, because I grew up listening to mostly alternative music but I'm glad I know about them now. All of their songs are timeless and I'll definitely be listening to The Cure for the rest of my life. I can't wait until they come back to England so I can see them live!!!!!

I remember the excitement in my early 20s when I put this vinyl on my turntable (yes a turntable, kids) and blasted this song. The Cure will always be associated with goth, but Robert Smith's talents transcend that genre completely. This song is a pop masterpiece. From the opening drums to the rhythmic acoustic guitar and the catchy melody of the vocals...it's just about perfect. It's one of those unique songs that never loses it's power over me. When it comes on the radio, I almost have to pull the car over because my sense get rattled.

My older sister would play this on friday and saturday nights in late summer/fall of 1985 (along with some Bowie and Iggy Pop) while getting ready to go out with her friends. I was too young to go anywhere, but by October I moved with our parents to the far east (and missing the movie premiere of Back To The Future) and she stayed at home in Europe. Even though we didn't always get along, I always loved this song and I always have. Those were truly GREAT times.
