and me... I adore this one... plus this vid is just about the only time that he actually sings it with some welly live! Most of the songs from the self titled album The Cure and 4:13 he doesn't quite sing loudly to the melody for some reason... Cure fan for life ❤

It's Porl Thompson one of their original guitarist, a little older now and more eccentric than he was before before.

All the things we never know we need Looks like we get them in the end Measure time in leisure time and greed And by the time we get to spend A floating bed A head of stone A home plugged into every phone Kimono coral floral print Exclusive tint and cut reclusive No it doesn't come for free But it's the price We pay for happiness No don't talk about more to life than this Dream a world maybe no one owns No don't think about all the life we miss Swallow doubt as the hunger grows Make believe its like no one knows Even if we turn more to most We'll never satisfy the hungry ghost All the stuff we know we never want Seems like we get it anyway Safe to say it isn't really wrong Not when we know we only... Throw it all away Yeah all of this we never know we want Its like we get it anyway Safe to say it isn't ever wrong Better to get than to delay A 3d screen A cleaner fit A bit pulled out of every hit Addicted latest greatest piece Design caprice and make the headline No it doesn't come for free But it's the price We pay for happiness No don't talk about more to life than this Dream a world maybe no one owns No don't think about all the life we miss Swallow doubt as the hunger grows Make believe its like no one knows Even if we turn more to most We'll never satisfy the hungry ghost And all of this We know we never need Well it's the price We pay for happiness

@LIL2511 Jason is a good drummer I don't really know why people hate him. I wouldn't say that Porl is responsible for destroying their sound, they should just get a keyboard player. The Cure without a keyboardist is like a car without wheels.

I love how The Cure doesn't play their live music to sound like it does on the record in both instruments and singing.
@Shiro46AV7 жыл бұрын
Exceptional live performance here btw. The Cure is the best band I've seen live and that includes Roger Waters Pink Floyd in second place for me. Pink Floyd's theatrics for the show are the best though, what a production.

@LIL2511 How can you say that about Porl? He was with The Cure on the years they made their most universal acclaimed work! (He wasn't on pornography though, the album I like the most) Beside that... how can he be invited by page and plant to work with them on their project and be bad as you say?!

Whoever shot this video surely isn't a musician and has never picked up a guitar or bass guitar. All the musicians watching this video are trying to see the chords/notes played on the guitars and bass, while the person making the video just quickly records one very fast scene to another fast scene, not really considering the music but rather going for artsy shots.
@achintobe54104 жыл бұрын
I doubt the videos intended audience is primarily musicians. It is shot for cure fans

in my opinion porl has taken the cure's sound to another level. bloodflowers and selftitled werent that great. my fave cure sound and songs are from disintegration and of course wish.
