I am so glad to hear that! I've been digging into the planning for the beginning of the year. This year we are doing Year 1 except for the science since we focused on earth science this past year.

I just recently discovered it. I am very excited to give it a try. My kids really enjoy hands on activity and bits and pieces of books at a time. I think it'll allow for me to pick the things they and I will enjoy doing together. I plan on doing more videos as I make a plan and start doing it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

This curriculum sounds awesome!!! Sonlight includes geography in the history component and I love it but my kids hate it as they love geography but not history!!! We are more open and go ppl but I also love putting things together!!! We love our books of centuries!!! We have different kinds of them due to my kids personality’s!!!

Doesn't it seem great. I am excited about combining history, geography and art with lots of books and hands on activities. I'm hoping my kids will enjoy it and start to learn more about history. at least we will have fun and make some messes which they like. I am looking forward to creating a book of centuries.

Some visual aids in the presentation would really enhance the video. 🙂

Hope you don't get offended. I just don't understand all these homeschooling videos here on KZfaq. My husband and I try our best not to complicate things when it comes to homeschool. Most children rather play instead of homeschooling anyway. All these KZfaqrs every year are changing up their children's curriculum saying this didn't work and that didn't work, but when I look up the curriculum they don't use the curriculum to it's full potential. This is messing up their children's education because every curriculum teaches concepts differently in Math and English Language Arts. This creates gaps in children's education. Homeschooling is not for lazy parents taking content out of curriculum. That's probably why it doesn't work. Parents have to be 100% committed or just let the schools do the teaching. This is the reason why some states have high restrictions against parents that choose to homeschool. We don't mind it though. We do educate our children. People stop changing curriculum every year. Plus, we don't allow our children to live in a bubble. We teach them about the world around them. This is why we don't use certain christian curriculum. We purchase curriculum that we will all of the components and don't take things away. To us it's a waste our money. Having structure work best. Not allowing young children (under 6th grade) to pick what they want to learn, what they like or didn't like. They may like all the fun materials with a curriculum but don't want to complete assignments dealing with a lot of writing or work on their part. Like I said, homeschooling is not for lazy parents. It takes time and work. I see some parents wanting to do Co-ops, nature walks, Charlotte Mason, Classic Conversations, or Montessori. Most children don't even understand our way. They just need a rigorous curriculum that is going to prepare them for life, not something that is just easy, which does have parents being involved. I do get it. that some children learn in different ways, which is true, but without structure your children will never learn anything. This is just my opinion. Like I said before and I will say it again, I hope you don't get offended. If you are not the parent like being there for your children and guiding them in their education just put them all back in traditional school. Yes it takes time to homeschool multiple children. It doesn't mean you just teach all your children at the same time (unit studies). There are materials that children need to know at a certain age. Not given your children age appropriate material leaves gaps in their education. Some parents believe young children don't need science or social studies. I'm here to tell you that they do. They need paper and pencil doing real assignments, experiments, and etc. Don't be that lazy parent. Homeschooling is work, but giving our children all they need is an award. Bye!! 👋 Thanks...
