Cooked premiered on the ABC (Australia) in 2021, and we're honoured to release it to our audience at Grouse House.
Director's Statement (Jake Duczynski):
Cooked...is told from a collective Indigenous perspective. It doesn’t care for Cook’s famous story, but instead the residual legacy of the crown in the form of a curse. Cooked holds the mirror up and forces us to look.

I was a little uncertain about the whole "evil curse made us do it" angle, I've seen it used badly too many times. But it seems that I was needlessly sceptical. Really enjoying the series so far, can't wait to see where it goes!

You should be able to get most of it, but yeah there are lots of little references to Aus politics/history, and some indigenous culture and vernacular.
