With the release of the Gran Turismo 4 Randomizer mod (which allows every prize car to be picked out of the game's entire car roster), I had tried completing the entire game with only these prize cars. However, it definitely did not go as planned...

I do agree the randomizer mod is an excellent experience, as you are always using different cars than you might have planned. It's a shame your run wasn't possible, I'm still not sure if mine will be doable. Still, A-Class for 24 hours of racing? That's gold. I really liked your video!

Great sum-up, very well-edited, structured and narrated. Was a pleasure to watch this unfold as it happened, even if my dozens of Cappuccino predictions to save the run didn't come to fruition. 10:56 was truly a moment for the ages. Watching your run inspired me to tune some cars I never would have tried otherwise, so I definitely agree that the mod, as chaotic as it is, can broaden your horizons. A classic case of "it's about the journey, not the destination".

I have only played GT5 and GT6, and briefly GT Sport but that was because my brother would let me play GT Sport sometimes and GT1 and 2 briefly on an emulaton on some crappy hacked tablet but it was too laggy.

Great run - love a good challenge run on this game. I’ve just been doing a “yellow cars only” run myself, which I’m about 10 hours into - it’s been really fun and I’ve used a lot of cars I’ve never used before too - I recommend it :)

Nice run bro, one challenge i tried before but couldn't finish was the "no mod/upgrade" run. The thing that stopped me was tires. Maybe combining with this randomized run allows you to try more different cars

Thanks for reminding me of the cheat code thingies, I knew about the 10m one, but none of the others! For licenses, since I've done so many playthroughs I couldn't be bothered anymore, I just used a cheat engine table I had made to insta-gold all 5 tests (and doesn't require days), but this can be a nice alternative to that.

I suffered through an endurance race in GT2 cause my friend wasn't around to play it together and got the Polyphony F1 car. We dominated every race we could enter it in while we were still not good enough to pass all the licenses. Kinda took away from the game a bit but it was fun to crush the field.

Getting that GT-ONE race car very early really sums up my experience with GT7; less than a week playtime and the game throws me the Veyron as my first birthday gift car. Kind of invalidated a lot of the early game in one fell swoop

I'd probably have to check some TL:DR about the TÜV-regulations though (or use my local regulations instead). Also, the car I got at the end was the SZ-R instead of the RZ (RZ has a turbo unlike the SZ-R), so it's kinda fitting as the last car...

Currently on week 2 of doing this challenge, i manage to get a kei car in the form of the Honda Z Act (which was a blessing in disguise)... No sports truck yet, hoping i may get one way later down the line in my playthrough (its been fairly good since ive completed most of the important events to do the World Champion event). Wish i was recording my playthrough as it has been really entertaining so far.

That funny I got the mini truck in one of the races including the Lexus is200 so must he something he did wrong during the prize only race. The thing is you suppose to use lesser powerful cars that where the points pop up as 1pts affecting the prize cars and rare cars harder to come by

Now the hunt begins for a name that will generate a truck. Once it's found out what seeds generate the necessary cars, this run becomes possible.

There have been multiple instances where people have tried different seeds to see which one is the most viable. Getting a Daihatsu Midget II early-game would be the holy grail as it can compete in both the Kei car and Sports Truck races (the latter being possible thanks to this mod)!

I decided to tap in to my advanced brain thinking abilities and added a couple rules to my prize cars only challenge: - The ONLY items I can purchase are tires - I must get 100 A-Spec points or more each race Needless to say, the struggle is real lol

I actually obeyed the second goal by trying to keep all main championships (beginner/professional ones) above 100 A-spec points (hence the Prius as it gave 150+ A-spec points). However, I didn't mention it in the video as it didn't really change the run itself too much. I could try to do it with just buying tires, though!
