I actually feel like ten minute videos are no longer necessary. Yes, it doesn't allow me to shove an extra mid-roll ad in there, but my most popular video isn't even ten minutes! KZfaq is a complex system, and it's tricky to figure out what content it will favour.

3:02 Something that has always bugged me is this list of unused letters. Nobody else seems to have noticed that V is not unused at all. It’s used for Lava Reef Zone’s Title Card.

Fun fact, Hyper forms and the emeralds was going to be used in Mania but due to Sega being douche (big surprise) they had to remove them due to it being declared as a non-canon form.

3:51If I remember correctly in the update that has the new state transitions and menu (along with the new metal sonic phase.) they added a somewhat changed animation to this one for when Tails enter Chemical Plant.

Glad to see you're back, and that the quality has improved a ton (both figuratively and literally) :) That aside, I noticed the pacing is a little bit rapid in this video, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the transitions could be a bit smoother. I released a video in 4K on somebody else's channel (not a TCCO episode, don't worry) and it became their most popular video. Hopefully it will work on this channel too! I think it's because people with 4K monitors tend to watch the whole thing or at least stay longer, leading to more watch minutes.

The Eggman Mech model is actually used, as it is visible in the bridge cutscene between Stardust Speedway Zone and Hydrocity Zone, albeit in wire-frame.

Something you missed were the tavern-like areas in Mirage Saloon. In the final game they have ice cream, whereas in earlier footage they had more alcoholic looking drinks (and less detail overall really). Really neat video regardless. I wonder if Sonic Mania Plus will add in any of this stuff?

0:32 the monarch bg isn't unused anymore(sort of) the model itself appeared in the new sonic mania plus update as a patch and adds extra level transitions and it's used their(though it's huge size does make a possibility that at some point it was for a boss)

The gels use those colors in their names as those are the two colors of springs. Green uses red, as they both have extreme height. This leaves the cyan to use yellow.

Level select is in the game. On xbox you have to enable debug mode, go to no save tab and hold A and X simultaneously

Hey, I think a version of that robot model was added! In the new update, there is an outline of a robot model at the end of Stardust Speedway. Update:it's not just that. New mania/plus has a lot of the unused file stuff, like the enemy, pinch mode theme and (I think) the icons.

I replied to a comment about this a while ago, but here's my response again just so that you know. "I use Vegas Pro 14 (I would use After Effects but I can't stand not being able to preview in realtime) which tries to upscale things with bilinear filtering if they have a low resolution, and you can't turn it off! With most sprites from the game I had to upscale them in Paint.NET by about 1000x, but I couldn't do it with animated GIFs so I just had to deal with it. The opening sprites for Sonic weren't a GIF but I didn't have time to upscale so many images and even upscaling the other logo elements caused the preview framerate to tank, so I had to do those after finishing the video." Hope this explanation helped to clear things up!

Sorry! It's a little problem with the editing software I use. Tip: use ezgif.com/resize and just put your gifs in there, it has no watermark and is pretty fast!

HEY, I have been messing with debug a LOT and somehow changed hydrocity miniboss hovercraft into a different one. Cut boss? Edit:after a bit more analysis, here's the important part. If you go to debug mode during the miniboss and try to move out, the vehicle may drop one of the cylinders in the back.
