Speaking of candles, today is Bath&Body Works candle day ! Around 10 dollars for the three wick. I was waiting in their virtual line- decided I have enough candles and ended up spending that cash on books on my way home instead 🙃 😅

Fun fact from a former Rituals employee: The Ritual of Amsterdam was inspired by the first business connections between Asia and Europe in the 18th century. Porcelain was one of the main import goods so they chose a white and blue vase for inspiration, which can be seen in the Rijks Museum in Amsterdam. The blue designs on the packaging are actual little paintings from this old vase. And the scent (Yuzu and Tulips) is meant to represent Asia and Europe as well.

As a fellow miniature obsessive, this is definitely my fave calendar you've opened so far. My husband is so thankful you do these unboxings so I can live vicariously and not drag us into credit debt by buying them myself. I'm glad Macy's stepped up their game this year because a coupon on the 24th day is just...no. QVC definitely takes the cake for worst calendar this year with the single vitamin and mouthwash tablets. Thanks for running an awesome giveaway, please enter my name!

The candles are meant to be like the candles in an actual Advent wreath used primarily by Catholics but other Christian churches use them as well. It’s supposed to be 3 purple candles and one pink, each lit on the four Sundays before Christmas with a different meaning. The pink is always lit on the third Sunday. I like interpretation they took, it’s interesting and they actually added something from the Advent season. Love your unboxings!

i was just coming to post this! i don't blame Alexandria at all for not knowing this - as a fellow southern gal, all of my high church tendencies were not at all learned from the southern baptists. instead my family picked that up from the anglicans from when my dad went to college over in england lol! compared to southern baptists or even things like primitive baptists, an actual advent wreath is virtually unheard of around here. it's just too high church, plus there's a lot of connection to saint's days, and of course your typical southern small town church ain't gonna like that. despite being christian myself, i don't really think these advent calendars need to be so christianey. it's about beauty products after all. but scented candles on every sunday? that is a beautiful way to recognize that tradition and find a way to reference it, while making sure everybody enjoys it! it's almost like a little easter egg in a movie where if you don't get it, you'll enjoy the movie perfectly, but if you *do* get it, it makes you smile.

I ordered this early on and was overjoyed by it, even at regular price. This was the very best Advent calendar that I’ve ever purchased. All of the others have a lot to aspire too. I’m saving the box full of mini houses FOREVER. ❤️🥰

Gurl, the mess that QVC called an "advent calendar" is the standout when it comes to the worst box imo. I gotta say that I think this one has been my fav thus far, the value really seems like it's there and the lil' decoration aspect to it is just too cute. You're supposed to tape down the lights following the diagram on that white insert and then flip it over so the lights shine up though the houses :) Then you can put all the houses back after you open them and keep the adorable little village displayed! This is my favorite of the calendars so far! :)

This calender was definitely adorable. You can tell how much they really wanted to show how much they care for presentation and craftsmanship in their products. I still cannot get over Macy's still doing coupons. I'm just crossing my fingers that you avoided the chanel advent calendar.

The aesthetic of this calendar is just *chefs kiss.* I know that the diy aspect would not be everyone's cup of tea but I LOVE it. Like its very clear the brand put in effort for planning and design, plus you could save it and use it to create your own calendar in the future.

This calander is by far the best, not only does it have decent sized items but the packaging is so cute! The worst was Macy's if you want to throw in a coupon on top of the items that's fine (a little tacky but fine) but making it a whole day!

I believe the four candles are inspired by the catholic tradition of lighting four candels during the four Sundays before Christmas to symbolise the wait. Each Sunday/candle has a different meaning: hope, peace, joy, and love. :)

FYI items with rose are used do to the natural anti aging properties, especially helpful in brightening the skin ie: age/sun spots. Rose is often used in hand creams to fade sun spots as well as many facial skin care products as it truly is a skin brighter. 😉

This is the only calendar I purchased and I absolutely loved it! In fact, it's still on my master bedroom dresser because I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Also loved that some of the shower gels were unisex so my husband got to enjoy them as well. Don't know how in the world they can top this one next year.

Day eighteen instead of eight is so danged relatable. Also, the clear thought put into the calendar is lovely - that you set up a little town scene with lights just elevates it! Don't want or need it as it seems way too floral for me, but I enjoyed you unboxing it!

You get a candle to burn each Sunday because that's what they do in churches for advent! The candles are different colors for different Sundays (I don't remember what colors go to which Sunday, I'm a reformed catholic now). Like most meaningful religious holiday symbols this one also has Pagan roots.

Love this series 💕 I have this just EU version so not watching the whole video till the 24th, so happy to see the excitement tho ,makes me more excited😍Just wanting to comment that the lights are ment to be underneath, so that the houses light up as you empty them out, so by 24th you have a village of houses. The cardboard has circles on where the farirylights are ment to attach and than you flip it and put the houses on top ❤️ it's even more well thought out 😍

She will love it, my mom asked for this calendar for a few years, this year she does not want it because she has so many rituals stuff. Here in the Netherlands it's basically a go-to if you do not know what to give to someone, you just go there and will find something. The calendars this years are trees again I believe. But those are cute as well :)

In the Catholic tradition (from which Advent comes), a different candle is lit for the four Sundays leading up to Christmas. Advent actually starts at the end of November each year, but the calendars usually stick to a Christmas countdown during December and just borrow the name Advent.

Coffee beans are a great palette cleanser for smells!! If you keep a little glass jar of beans next to your set up, just give em a sniff and it should help you smell more fragrances back to back. :)

This is absolutely the best advent calendar that I have seen unboxed. I love Rituals and I think I really would like to purchase this one! My least favorite was from Ulta - I don't like the Ulta beauty products personally. However I think the Ulta one would be lovely for my niece... she's 11 and just getting into makeup/beauty. Lily of the Valley is my absolute favorite flower!! We have a bunch growing in my back yard and every year around Mothers Day my mom and my grandmother and I would go down and pick full bouquets worth. So now every time I find anything that smells like it I get so happy and nostalgic🥰 This is hands down the best calendar thus far! I mean, look at those lights! AND THE BABY TREES!!!! They win. Any awards? They’re theirs now. I’m going to have to say QVC and Macy’s were in a race to the bottom, but I’m going to preemptively say the worst will be Sephora, here to take their crown for the fourth year in a row. This is a very cool Advent Calendar... Number One for season favourite. It has a NICE 25th day treat too. 🕯️ Adorable ! and no stickers or a hair tie or tiny mirror. My least Fav might be Sephora because it's seemed like an ad gratuitous with left over samples and loose itybity toss in items. This one today is full of spirit of holidays in the daily treats and design. Plus- when all is open it's a functional Lil lit up village with snow and Lotsa bright colours... And big yay for the Candles to light each week. 🕯️

I’m so loving the advent calendar challenge. And I’m always pleasantly surprised to log on and a new video is up. Also the qvc with the single vitamin was terrible. This one was the best yet with all the large samples and candles. Watching you be happy and not having your footage deleted was the best.

Oh my! This advent calender is so amazing, it is so cute! I can see myself reusing this packaging as a decoration, Rituals game is strong, every year it keeps getting better and better. The price value and contente of the calender is really good, but the fact that the products are a good size (and not samples, hate thoses things, I really do!), is amazing, you really get to try the products enough time to see if you really like them. I have to say the worst calendars so far are the Macys and QVC, but your reactions to them are to die for, sorry but I just can't stop laughing. I'd love to be entered in the giveaway.

This is a nice calendar! I definitely would like it. Least favorite was for sure E.L.F Tip: if you’re sniffing a lot of stuff keep coffee beans nearby to smell, it’ll “reset” your smell.

Watching you open advent boxes makes me so happy since I’m usually too picky to buy any and a lot of them are kinda like the macys beauty box where the worth isnt all there so I really appreciate you doing this it’s super fun to watch!! OMGEEEEE this is probably the absolute cutest advent calendar I have ever seen! While I agree that the QVC calendar was abysmal, I was actually disappointed with the Elf calendars. I love Elf products and they have a lot more to offer than what they have in those. My favorite has been the Rituals calendar for sure, finally something worth the money!!!

Sniff coffee beans between smells, helps rid the nose of lingering smells. It will help you to smell the next smell just as it should smell.

This is a super cute calendar and seems like a great value, and I love how it's an actual display. Plus the candles!! Now that is a nice touch. Definitely my favorite of the ones you've opened so far. Worst would be QVC or Macy's. I'd love to be entered in the giveaway.

Such an amazing advent calendar! Fun as can be, and my favorite so far. I do love how they brought the actual concept of Advent into the calendar with the candles. Unlike that horrid QVC calendar that was just insulting. When your nose is scent overwhelmed - try sniffing coffee grinds to 'reset' it. I would love to be entered into the giveaway.

First of all I love rituals products especially their shower foam and candles. This advent calender is the best one so far, for both product selection and presentation. 👍👍❤ 2 thumbs up for me.

I would like to be entered. Macy's was the worst advent calendar to me so far. A coupon!?! Really! And this one.... the amazing Ritual's advent calendar was by far my favorite ❤ That setup is so unique and beautiful 😍 and Rose is my favorite scent 😍 thank you and I LOVE your videos! 🥰

This has been my favorite one so far! Just the packaging alone is adorable. QVC or Macy’s are the worst. The coupon as the only thing for a day was crazy! I would love to be entered in the giveaway. Thank you, and please, keep posting more of these videos. I absolutely love them!

I love this calendar! It’s so cute and I love that you could reuse the advent calendar each year or even just the twinkle lights!! Macy’s was the most disappointing one this year and other than this one- I really liked the first two “cheap” boxes from last video. I think they had a specific demographic and stuck to it.

I love that Rituals actually took the time to create an adorable display to go along with the goodies! Companies like that make me happy! 💕 I would LOVE to be entered into this giveaway!! This by far is the best calendar you have un-boxed! Like you mentioned, the thought put into the packaging alone is just so special. I think the worst one has to be the QVC one. I can't get over the single vitamin in a packet, so weird. I would love to be entered for the giveaway. I have always wanted to try more Rituals products, they always seemed so luxurious:)

This is honestly the first calendar in a long time that I would to get because it's just so well executed. Imagine having that beautiful set up somewhere on a dresser during Christmas season 🥺 This one was the best one so far! And the worst one will probably go to Macy's just simply for the coupons on the last day of the calendar 😂 Drives me nuts when they do that! And I would love to be entered in the giveaway!

The 4 candles on each Sunday is a nod to the Advent Wreath used in many Liturgical Churches like the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. I used to sell Gold Canyon Candles. So sad they're gone.

The light were actually supposed tu be on the bottom on the white cardboard that's why there are drawings on the bottom so the houses light up through the windows and doors, it's really adorable

this was my favorite calendar you’ve opened between this year AND last year. it is so cute. you can tell they actually care for their customers and how they present themselves as a brand. honestly the cutest advent calendar i’ve seen, even over luxury brands. the worst one so far has to be QVC or Macys. need i even explain why? 😂 i LIVE to watch these videos ❤️

I really liked this one and the Ulta one with the little bags you opened. This one is just beautiful and the Ulta one looks like a super good value and nice fun things to try out for not a ton of money. Least favorite would be the QVC calendar. Who decided a single vitamin would be a good idea?

I bought this for myself. Every year, I purchase some type of Advent calendar. Last year, I got a famous cosmetic's line's Advent calendar and I was so disappointed in the size of the items, for what I paid. I saw this one: not only adorable & unique, but the products are nice and great sizes.

So far this is my favorite! I could never afford it being on disability, but I live for these advent unboxings, even watching from bed. The QVC one I wasn’t crazy over.

hey just a little back! if you get coffee grounds and smell them after every strong smell it will help clear your nose out. Like give you a fresh palette to smell the next thing!
