Looking at the desc. “Explosions *will* reroll items… Holding certain dice actives will *add* additional effects” Considering the wording I assume that the bombs *always* reroll, However they can get additional effects from holding other dice, excluding d6.

1:40 Another instance of this happening. Remember, if you hit a button and it spawns enemies, it'll spawn them at all entrances of the room you're in, including unopened secret room entrances, like those spiders that spawned on the right side of the room

he should have gotten bookworm by the second floor. satanic bible in the first treasure room, the necronomicon from the boos room on that same floor (he did pick it up), and then book of the dead from the second floor devil deal (witch he also picked up)

Ok so, what I belive is happening is that when you exit and continue the run, the bombs you placed as well as the scatter bombs are replaced for enviroment bombs or lose the tag of being placed by you, explaining why they don't keep rerolling upong continuing the run since the base game doesn't really have to take in account that you placed them, but do take in account that you did when taking ot from your bombs counter, which might be also the way the mod item recognizes that you placed a bomb so it doesn't trigger out of troll bombs or red bombs

@@horakhty2217 considering that he did not get a broken heart from the deal, I belive the game was still counting the extra hearts, but there was a bug with the health bar.

I feel like a cool downside for this item would be that depending on the type of dice you're holding, like the d6 would cost like 5 bombs to actually reroll the item, and different types of dices would cost different amount of bombs

The only reason the bomb didn't reroll the first time with scatterbombs was because you save and quit, it probably interrupted the effect from happening, even though it did blow up the pedestal.

Yeah I know right, still don't know why he lost those soul hearts and eternal heart, but I do know there's a bug where the 3 broken hearts it gives right away don't count to its death counter for some reason.

@@hitmantyson yes it does.. it stops ALL forms of death, and gives 1 broken heart (which is why it's banned when you're playing lost or t-lost)

It's cool to see someone else's idea for this - I tried working on dice bombs a few years ago (never released it) which would have been even crazier - bomb an item? D6, bomb a pickup? D20, bomb an enemy? They get rerolled(the new enemy has it's health reduced by how much damage it had plus bomb damage). Bomb yourself for a chance of either rerolling stats, items or even the Clicker effect! (I had something for bombing rocks instead of them just rerolling into something else without being destroyed, but can't recall it now) I eventually gave up on it due to the massive number of effects I would have to recreate(Sure you could just make a 'use the effect of some dice' effect, but that would affect everything in the room instead of just the bombed stuff). As an example, for the D6, switching an item with another random one is extremely easy, getting to do it based on the item pool is also easily supported, but trying to do all of that plus using your game seed in a way that a regular D6 roll would be the exact same effect as a dice bomb is a little more tricky

I feel like an easy way to balance it would be to add a percentage based chance to simply destroy the pedestal (because y'know, explosion). Basically a passive ED6, though personally I'd give it a higher percentage than 50%, maybe even as high as 80%. Without any risk factor, it is ridiculously overpowered.

A way this could be balanced is if you’re limited to, say, 2 rolls at which point the bomb blows up the pedestal leaving you with nothing. There could be like a crack vfx on the pedestal being rolled too.

Dice Bombs is so incredibly broken, but I have an idea that would balance it. Probably. Make the item pedestal act like a reroll machine. Every bomb has a chance to double roll it and stop rolling after that. That or the item could literally explode into a few pickups or something, that’d be pretty funny.

The original Revelation gave 2 inmortal hearts (thats how theyre called apparently) and flight, it also gives tears, shot speed and makes you look cooler. It originally was a tear modifier and made your tears look like the slowed ones but a bit yellowish i guess and it gave em the brainworm effect or so

power scaling wasnt the only reason edmund didnt let every item through into repentance, hes said that even though a large chunk of antibirth would inspire repentence there would be specific things he wouldnt take in order to keep the mod and the dlc unique to eachother, this is also why mother and the witness are completely different fights
