Tom bailey's car really isn't a promod though , water jacketed engine ,radiator, drives 1500 miles on drag week, takes trips to McDonald's with it after racing , pulls trailers, power roll up windows ! No cars that race in promod does that !! Stevie fast won championships last year he dont pull his boat to the lake with it !!

Call Tom Bailey's car whatever you want but it did not set the overall track record. If you watch the specific video that the other guy was talking about even Cleetus said he set the "Pro Mod track record". Everything you just typed, you should re-type in a comment to Cleetus because evidently he doesn't know what a promod is either. Lol.

I’m a locomotive engineer, a coworker told me to wear earplugs for a week and try not wearing them after that. I’ve worn earplugs religiously since then, you only get one set of ears Cleet.

I realize it’s been a lot of years and Dale drove cup but seeing someone show some Dale love with something so raw hit that memory zone where I will never not be able to root for that #3 car or truck. I fucking love this truck. Earnhardt was my favorite racer. That determined slam into 4th and the fist pump afterwards gave me goosebumps. Don't think The Intimidator would be disappointed.

There's a difference between best sounding and loudest. I think Cleet was just saying it is just too loud inside the Dale truck. Sound does seem to get amplified inside the cab of a truck especially it is all sheet metal.

Plus, kept it built for circle tracks the whole time, then bought a circle track and had the truck rebuild for the drag strip. 🤦♂️

this is for kevin... watch the truck around the 1500ft mark and youll see the frame flex from the link bars, im not sure if its the links binding or if those heim joints arent binding on the brackets. but it seems to be coming from the rear link bars causing the frame to flex outward. maybe that'll help find traction down the track.

For everyone saying the throwout bearing is making noise, has obviously never been around anything with 1 to 4 sintered iron discs in it. It's not clutch down or clutch up its light slipping makes that noise.

With turbos the exhaust is being shoved through a blender and crapped out a large pipe. NA you’re getting the raw individual exhaust pulses. I really appreciate turbo power but I agree the truck sounds way better.

@@deegan727 Exactly. Absolutely NOTHING sounds as vicious as a well-built, well tuned NA race motor. Remember how vicious the authentic Dale NASCAR sounded when they visited Cleeter & dyno'd & ran it??? It actually gave Jeremy ( Fasterproms ) goosebumps and scared the hell out of Cleeter when they started that thing up, lol. Made just shy of 700 to the rear wheels with NO nitrous, in 100 degree weather & high humidity. As Jeremy stated in that video: "That's SB2 LIFE right there".

@@entrepreneurhomeboy I used to be around SB2 engines regularly, years ago anyway. I worked for an Arca series driver/team owner. He owned a promotions company as well where we took race cars to events and car dealerships to fund his racing and he was trying to start a driving school like the Richard Petty deal. His name is Kevin McGuire.He was more of a con artist than anything else but still I went to races and wrenched on cup cars so I dealt with it for a while.I ran with him from 2001-2003. Yes those cars are amazing in person.

That's insane!! To put it into perspective, a completely factory stock dodge demon typically runs low to mid 10s. They need aftermarket full slicks and COLDDDD weather to run any faster

Farm truck would rip dale trucks doors off, no contest. It would be a cool sight but it for sure wouldn’t be a race. Maybe if cleet and jimmy engine swap and either turbo or super charge whatever they put in. It would still take a ton of dialing in.
