A performance with humour, that didn't happen so often in punk. In addition, "The Old Grey Whistle Test" was a great programme for me, because the musicians / groups had to show what they can do here on a small stage. So they often had to go back to their origins.

Aged 9, I can't decide what had a greater impact, Captain Sensible's keyboard solo, smashing up the keyboard or his fried egg tshirt. Quite frankly, it all seemed pretty outrageous when I went back to Barnsbury Primary school the next day.

That's Annie Nightingale introducing the band. She must have been aged at least in her early thirties or even aged around Forty at this point in time. She was very fashionable as a teenager early and in her early twenties ( check out photos of her in the 60s when I think she was a model some time in the 60s) She started to DJ back in the late 60s....she's now over 80 and still Radio DJing and is actually now big into Modern Techno music !!!

I've been chain-consuming Damned videos for over a week now and I've completely fallen for them as a band and for Dave as a one-in-a-lifetime specimen, this band deserves to be praised, and it's wonderful to grow old with them, in each one of their passionate phases they have been outstanding, they've experimented stuff... in a very honest way.. I confess back in the day I was too much into Siouxsie and..., J. Division, etc. and didn't pay much attention to Damned... but now I have converted myself!!! And as for Dave.... as a young punk kid, as a mysterious dark lover, as a rockabilly crooner or today's version of a classy but dangerously attractive gentleman... he never failed to surprise and please us all... and we love him for that!!! Love Captain too!

LOL-THEY ROCK SO F'n HARD- I remember when I was following love and rockets- I met a girl who followed the dammed and she shared w/ me among other precious details that a)1 of her friends slept w/ rat & both were judged &hated 4 it?!?!?!(That still amazes me I mean WTF isn't that the point ) and that dave drank white vinegar to enhance his alabaster skin and assist in fitting into even tighter pants- At a time when 1 might turn up the volume so not to hear the sad sound of the hammer hitting yet another nail in the coffin of R'nR- This video is inspiring as a Battle Cry or a Banshees' Howl-now show your support & start signing your name in drawn blud
