Me too! I suspect that Hallmark was careful when hiring these two men in S6. They knew how popular the show was. They probably hired actors that were willing to stay for awhile. Kevin used to be in "Heartland." That show has been on for 16 seasons or more. I think that is the goal with "When Calls the Heart" for it to last many seasons. So Hallmark & WCTH writers made sure who ever ended up the male lead in the end would stick around long term. Well I think Nathan is end game. I think Kevin sees the potential in When Calls the Heart lasting long term. Plus Kevin and Erin are friends. They probably enjoy working together.

@@BeverlyR-dl5ft Yes, "Heartland" is one of my favorite shows and I loved Kevin as soon as he appeared in "Heartland". I was so upset that Lou dumped him for Peter!! I felt so bad for him.. and then when he joined "When Calls the Heart" I was just so excited because I love him as an actor and thought he made the perfect match for Elizabeth! I was devastated when she picked Lucas instead and I stopped watching the show. I was like - Kevin deserves to get the girl! Why is he always getting dumped when he's such a great guy?!?!? LOL. So when I saw that they were FINALLY putting them together, I started watching the show again. I am so glad they decided to finally let Kevin have a relationship! And I think he goes much better with Elizabeth than with Lou - he and Elizabeth have so so much chemistry!!!! Love both shows though. Just so heartbreaking that both ladies lost the love of their life in both shows - with Jack and Ty both dying. But I relate more than anything now since the love of my life also died in 2022. These shows impact me now more than ever because of that gigantic loss. "Heartland" did a good job of expressing the grief of a widow. I felt everything that Amy was feeling when Ty died.. that season of her grief was so emotional for me as I was living it too. It's so cool that you love both shows too!
