I never retaliate when they say bad things about me, but my problem has always been withdrawing. I don’t do it in retaliation at all, but it’s like I have no desire to be near them, so I withdraw. To others it looks like retaliation, but thankfully God knows my heart.

Just take the Bible litteraly and believe what you read, to whom it was said, and who said it. This gospel is not "good advice" on something you can do to get saved, its about BELIEVING what God did through Jesus Christ to save you. Will you put away your self effort and pride and just believe? Its only required once. If you do, you are SAVED and sealed with the Holy spirit unto the day he redeems you (Ephesians 4:30 kjv) Saved people dont ask Jesus to do something he already did. amen, Jesse.. we must be fully convinced that we are the "true child of God Almighty" for his divine power to fully function in our lives. *Remember how the devil kept trying to put doubt into Jesus's Spirit, mind and heart (*when he was tempting him in the desert) by repeatedly asking him - "IF, you are the Son (true Child) of God?.. Do - .. " Mathew 4 : 1 - 11 Jesse, we are the true children of God Almighty, because God, our true Father, has put the love of Jesus Christ in our hearts and minds, and are not ashamed to share this truth with "everyone who has ears to hear" - in Jesus's Holy and ever precious name, amen.
