Bek Lover is a podcaster and proud Albanian. Both his mother and father immigrated to America from the oppressive regimes in Albania and Kosovo. Unfortunately, other members of Bek’s family were not so lucky. In the Kosovo War of 1999, many of his relatives were victims of the Serbian Army’s Genocide against Albanian Kosovars.

Movies that show Muslim in a positive manner... The movie ... The 13th Warrior. the Mummy , Indiana Jones and the last crusade ... Just a few examples for the guy. I've never seen the guy before but he says a lot of the things that I say. He actually knows how to do research ! The people who run this world have done a good job getting people to believe their lies. Until people learn the truth about history ... there will be animosity towards each other. I am doin what I can do to help change that .

Danny..... This guy is a joke let me explain something to each and every American or other people from different countries. I'll try to keep it short I'm Bosnian came to this country as a war refugee after losing my father and his father both died fighting Serbs on front lines. This guy and alot of men and their families and fathers RAN AWAY from bosnia and Albania that's why Serbs where able to kill so many of us.In war numbers count...... Running away from war with your whole familys in hand is not ok folks I know for a fact many Americans if other men came to this country I know for a fact Americans would not run away. Please please please people don't believe this clown he is a fake Muslim with a odd accent lol being born in America ok no. I'm actually American now but I never brag about crap that is not real. please Danny this guy lied to you and your show ask him why his father and his father's whole family ran away? You let other men die for you ? So you can claim to be a real man ? Wtf Danny if you want real Truth what happened in the Balkans we can chat, but this guy is a phony I've met many men like him all talk coward most albanians are very martial all about what they can show off to others. I would smack this clown in his mouth and I say same thing about bosnia people alot of them ran away and then they tell these grand tails of how they got out of war.... Blah blah no you did not! Danny if you want to have a chat with me and this clown live I would love to ! It would be so easy to break down every single lie this guy is saying I'm game. Anyone have any questions please ask I just can't stand people who lie and he is one.

@@Mrizing so his family in a sense dodged a war to leave their countrymen to be slaughtered? The guy in the video did make it seem like he escaped for a better future. I wonder how many of the population of refugees who fled were male fighting age. Thank you for the insight @Mill9999 this guy does seem a little too arrogant for his claims

I am 62 years old from Chicago and when I was 24 years old I met and Albanian Family who owned a Restaurant. My friends with their wives and I with mine use to go to his restaurant to eat after a night of party. It was a 24 hours 7days a week restaurant. The Owner and I became great friends for over 30 years. He past away 4 years ago at the age of 70. I still visit the family Resturants. I Love his family.

@@deniskika Alexander and any local marriages were eliminated long ago, and it was very minimal. The white looking people of Afghanistan were white originally from long before Alexander since they are Iranic Indo-European people. This idea that the blond looking blue eyes are Alexander's children is a lazy thought which assumes that Iranics (Iranians Tajik Afghan Kurd Baluch etc) are not originally as white as Europeans. Modern day paradigms necessitate that the East is seen as the other and any white looking ppl there are because of some Western invasion. This is very wrong. The word Iran is a variety for the word Aryan and is like the word Eire, Ireland .

Fun fact about Albania in WW2: we were invaded by the Italian Army and after the capitulation of Italy, Italian soldiers were left stranded in Albania. Albania was then invaded by German troops and at that time, following the capitulation Germany and Italy were kinda like enemies so the Germans were actively hunting Italian soldiers. Most Italian soldiers were sheltered by Albanian families who took them in their home and risked their whole families to defend the same soldiers that few months prior they were fighting against. They were under Albanian protection and Albanians were ready to die and have their whole family die to defend the people under their protection, even if they invaded and tried to kill them few months before

*WHO IS THIS GUY (FROM TROPOJA) WITH A COMPLEX OF INFERIORITY, WHO FALSELY SAYS THAT "ALBANIANS WOULD LIKE TO BE THE 51 STATE OF THE US"? NOT TRUE AT ALL YOU MORON. ALBANIANS DID NOT FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE FOR THOUSAND OF YEARS TO GO FROM ONE OCCUPATION TO ANOTHER AND LOSE THEIR INDEPENDENCE TO THE US. THIS GUY MIGHT BE SOME KIND CIA AGENT OR SOMETHING, A US PROPAGANDIST. ALBANIANS RESPECT AND ARE GRATEFUL TO THE US FOR THE HELP THE US PRESIDENTS HAVE GIVEN TO ALBANIA IN ITS FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE. BUT THIS GUY IS NONSENSE AND A TRAITOR. IT IS SIMILAR AS THE AMERICANS SAYING THAT WE LOVE FRANCE SO MUCH - BECAUSE FRANCE HELPED US FOR OUR INDEPENDENCE BACK IN THE DAY, SO MUCH SO THAT WE LIKE TO BECOME PART OF FRANCE AND LOSE OUR US INDEPENDENCE. OR ISRAELIS SAYING BECAUSE THE US HELPED US BECOME A COUNTRY, AND GIVES US $ 3 BILLION A YEAR FREE AID, WE LIKE TO BECOME THE 51-ST STATE OF THE US. GO AWAY YOU TRAITOR, YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL YOUR COUNTRY FOR "LOVE".* Albanian-Americans in New York --- March 2023. ===========================================================================

When I was a kid in the 80´s, going on family vacations in that region of the world, at lake Prespa exactly in Greece, I would stare at the black mountains just in front on the Albanian side and I thought it was the most mysterious place on earth. It was at the time Albania was some kind of North Korea, with bunkers all over the place, with orders to shoot anybody trying to get in or out of the country.

I had guys we were working with on location offering me their home cooked lunches their wives made. I wish Albania and it’d people the best, and hope to return some day! P.S. The bunkers that are EVERYWHERE in the country are pretty cool to see! I think there is ~750000 of them across the country!

What did Albanians 🇦🇱 have before the Ottoman invasion? 1. Albanians had a University in 1380 in Durrës. To give you an idea: Germany opened its first university, 6 years after Durrës (Heidelberg University). 2. Albanians had 6 fully developed cities as much as Florence, Venice, Marseille or Paris. (Durrës, Shkodra, Drishti, Lezha, Berat and Preveza). 3. Albanians had the aristocratic class with 8 noble families (Balshaj, Topiaj, Muzakaj, Kastrioti, Arianiti, Zebenishta, Spataj and Dukagjini) connected by marriage even with the Habsburgs and the Bourbons. 4. Albanians had the humanist philosophers, who with their genius ideas, were advisers to the imperial families in Hungary, Italy and Austria (Gjon Gazhuli, Pal Ungjëlli, Leonik Tomeo and Gjon Durrsaku). 5. Albanian cities had statutes and were governed by democracy while at the same time America for example it was governed by the Cherokee Indians or the Aztec tribes who still drank human blood and lived as cannibals. 6. In Durrës, intellectualism was so high that we have documented in the 12th century for the first time the note of protest of an Orthodox Metropolitan, who writes to Constantinople, against slavery, 300 years before it started as a debate in Europe. 7. In Durrës, trade was done even with Tunisia, Ukraine and France, since the 5th century. While at the same time for example the Scandinavian countries still lived by worshiping the tree or the mountain. 8. The Church of Albania had issued a Cardinal (and a cardinal was no small thing then). What happened next? The Ottomans just came and for 500 years made that every Albanian forgot who they really were.

Awesome guest Danny. I'm first generation Greek. He's right, the neighboring countries are suspicious and prejudiced unfortunately. And he's right about desperation fueling drive. Having nothing forces you to do things you never thought you could. Unfortunately having that kind of trauma screws you up on some levels. I've been stuck in my parents white middle class suburban town since the pandemic. The level of ignorance of the real world is both upsetting and depressing. Travel is out of reach for a lot of us right now. But there's KZfaq, documentaries, all kinds of ways to broaden your mind a little, if you really want to.

Quite the opposite. The locals in Southeastern Europe tend to deal with actual daily issues that happen in reality. Albania had a conference with Serbia months ago in managing energy security so everybody would thrive and have a normal economy. Outside of actual Southeastern Europe... everybody's obsessing with the myth of the "Balkan Savages". Because said myth is external. Made up by Austrians and English to hide their crimes in the region. Pure racism at its "finest".

Yeap approximately 200 Jews before WW2 & 2,500 after the war in 1945 almost all moved to USA & Israel because of communism. Also up to 10,000 transited through Albania from 1939-1944 with Albanian passports made their way from Albanian ports to USA & holly land. Also as he said Einstein stayed in the presidential palace until he was equipped with a Albanian diplomatic passport and made his way to USA. One of the reasons it was so hard for Nazis to find Jews was not because they were hiding but because Albanians were passing off Jews as their relatives having been given Albanian papers and the fact that both Muslims & Jews were circumcised a way that Germans really did use to see if your were a Jew 🤦‍♂️
